Earlier this year, I faced a significant health challenge that required 6 weeks in ICU and 3 months in the hospital. Despite complaints about healthcare system wait times, I believe I owe my life to TOH. Civic campus and Complex Orthopedic rehab at the General campus. It's crucial to enhance interoperability and rethink funding models to empower doctors and nurse practitioners to collaborate seamlessly across patient care. Let's leverage available technology to prioritize the patient's holistic needs and empower them to steer their care journey. #Healthcare #PatientCare #Empowerment

As the demand for outpatient care continues to flourish, ASC leaders must pinpoint and capitalize on key growth opportunities to drive their businesses forward. "Direct-to-employer and direct-to-consumer pathways that remove middlemen are improving revenues and adding value to the healthcare system," said Adam J. Bruggeman, MD, MHA, FAAOS, FAOA of the Texas Spine Care Center in San Antonio. "I see these as our best growth vehicles over the next year." We’ve seen it in hundreds of clinics nationwide: People show up, do some visits, but RARELY graduate. The problem? What happens when someone becomes a patient. Recent studies confirm it: The average graduation rate in outpatient physical therapy is 9% No, that’s not a typo. It’s not 90%. It’s 9. Graduation rate isn’t just a number. It’s a measure of your impact, your efficiency, and ultimately, your success as a clinic. You might be thinking, “Mine is DEFINITELY higher than that.” OR maybe you don’t even know your graduation rate. Remember: what gets measured gets managed. So how do we track this? Here’s a quick way to check your graduation rate: 1. Count your successful discharges over the last 6 months. 2. Divide by total evaluations. 3. Multiple by 100. That’s your percentage. This number might be brutal. Maybe you can’t track it easily. Maybe it’s lower than you expected. Maybe it even explains why Susan’s schedule is always so damn hard to fill (sorry to all the PTs named Susan out there). It’s okay. Beyond getting people better… …Why does this matter? Low graduation rates rob you of the 3Rs crucial for practice growth and raving fan transformation. 1. Reactivation - patients come back with new issues 2. Referral - your marketing efforts compound 3. Reviews - you rank higher on Google, attracting patients and staff Good news: With a handful of small tweaks you can double or even triple your graduation rates. This means: • Fewer new patients needed • Less intake and documentation for your team • No need to fire Susan over those schedule holes So if you want to double (and sometimes even triple) your graduation rates… Join us for our 3-day free virtual 'Fill Your Practice Challenge' starting July 23rd. We'll dive deep into improving your clinic's product for predictable growth. To save your spot, click the comment below. Looking forward to seeing you there.

📆 Join us on 22 February for The Allied Health Academy's seminar "The Power Play in Healthcare: Who Really Holds the Scalpel?"; a thought-provoking, challenging, call to action for the health professions, policymakers, employers, service users and funders to secure sustainable, efficient and equitable access to safe and effective health services. Prompted by recent discussions on the overlapping role boundaries of orthopaedic and podiatric surgeons featured in the Sydney Morning Herald, The Age, and 60 Minutes, this event transcends a single profession. It presents an opportunity to delve into the broader implications for healthcare practices globally. This is particularly pertinent when professional scopes are under scrutiny and revision and there is a significant demand for enhanced delivery of health care services. Our expert panel of presenters, Professor Susan Nancarrow, Professor Alan Borthwick OBE and Dr Anne-Louise Carlton will lead an informative discussion exploring scope of practice at the legislative, professional and service levels. The two-hour seminar will navigate the history and development of professional role boundaries in healthcare, reflect on and challenge assumptions about the nature of “health work” and the rightful owners of particular tasks and titles, and debate the pros and cons of regulating scopes of practice, and the other mechanisms which exist for safeguarding the community as scopes of practice inevitably change. Registrations are now open - don't miss out! 🎟️ Book your spot here: https://loom.ly/EGg9xNs ----------- What: "The Power Play in Healthcare: Who Really Holds the Scalpel?" When: Thurs. 22nd February, 5-7pm AEDT | 6-8am GMT (UK) Where: Online seminar Cost: $59 AUD #AdvancedPractice #AlliedHealth #ScopeOfPractice #OnlineSeminar #TheAlliedHealthAcademy
