The biggest loss I suffered when I left the Marine Corps was the loss of camaraderie, community. In the military, whenever the world was little too quiet and my thoughts a little too loud, I was never more than a few feet away from trusted friends who I could talk to. People who were going through similar things and had similar experiences to me. After I got out, a lot of that changed, and I got dark for a bit. I was spiraling. Getting into the construction industry helped with that a lot. For one, there was a restored sense of purpose, but due to the nature of my role and the teams I have been a part of, I've had the opportunity to connect and bond with a lot of people. Still, sometimes the pressures of the world start piling on, and worries about the future start creeping in. In those times, I usually find myself pursuing one of two approaches to get my peace back: Spending time with friends, family, and my wife, or getting into nature and spending time healing in the water. Veterans in this industry can spend a lot of time feeling the heat. The construction industry can be a high pressure environment at times. Budgets, deadlines, safety... it's a lot. Coupling that with things going on in the world today, and it's a recipe for a lot of stress. Reflecting on all of this last weekend in Spring Creek, I had an idea start forming: An event for Veterans in Construction to gather together, in nature, and let go of some of the pressure and stress for a few days, while spending time with people who have a unique ability to understand them due to shared experiences. Somewhere where we can meet others going through the same things, or who have been through it, without fear of judgment. Somewhere we can be vulnerable. A few days for us to get together and bond. I haven't got this idea fully fleshed out yet, but I wanted to write this so I can be held accountable to making it happen. If you're a Veteran in Construction and think this is something good, let me know, and let's see what ideas we can come up with together.

In the past four months since taking the helm at Patriot Services Group (PSG), we’ve made significant strides in transforming our approach to business. Typically, companies set normal expectations, yet often overpromise and underdeliver. Through this transition, I've recognized that an overly bureaucratic structure can stifle efficiency and disconnect a company from the needs of its clients. To address this, we've shifted to direct management of our assets in Illinois and Kentucky, following a successful model we implemented in West Virginia. Just one month into self-management there, we achieved the highest monthly collections in the asset’s history. I am eagerly anticipating similar successes in Mississippi and Louisiana, and I'm optimistic about what June will bring for Kentucky and Illinois. Over these months, PSG has strategically partnered with local businesses rather than large corporations, which is a common choice among corporate managers. This not only supports our community but also aligns with our commitment to creating local jobs, developing programs for nonprofit communities, and continuing our core mission of supporting homeless veterans. Looking ahead, we are excited about upcoming initiatives, including a rebranding effort, the standardization of processes, and the launch of new housing programs tailored to our mission. Additionally, we are planning to expand our assets into new states soon. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to innovate and expand our impact. #patriotservicesgroup,#homelessveterans,#integrityrise,#illinois,#kentucky

This is a testament to the healing potential of natural psychedelics like ibogaine, and noble hearts like E. Matthew ("Whiz") Buckley who are spreading this critical message. It is unacceptable to lose another single veteran to suicide as we have all the tools we need to address this crisis. It is now a moral obligation for those in leadership, working in concert with experienced psychedelic providers, to advance these revolutionary treatments, swiftly and safely. After two decades in mental health and a decade devoted to ibogaine, I have yet to encounter a more potent healing catalyst. https://lnkd.in/en8qPYgN https://lnkd.in/e4SPqVha #ibogaine #veteransuicideawareness #psychedelictherapy

Are you in the market for RV parks in the Lone Star State? Look no further! Our team is actively seeking opportunities to acquire RV parks across Texas and build lasting relationships within the community. 🔍 We understand that not every park fits our specific criteria. That's why we're reaching out to fellow investors who may be interested in smaller parks with 30 spots or fewer. While these parks may not meet our current needs, their owners are eager to sell, and we want to connect them with the right buyers. 💼 If you're considering expanding your portfolio with smaller RV parks or know someone who is, we'd love to hear from you! Let's discuss how we can collaborate and ensure that every park finds its perfect match. 📞 Reach out to me and my team today to explore these opportunities further. Together, we can make a positive impact on the RV park community in Texas!
