🌟 Innovation to boost the recycling of #packaging #plastics! 🌟 At ITENE we are leading the development of new delamination processes for post-consumer flexible packaging with multilayer structure in the framework of the European project MERLIN (#Horizon2020), coordinated by our research center. As the project coordinator, our expert César Aliaga, explained in a webinar on March 27, at ITENE, we are developing disruptive processes for the sorting, delamination and recycling of multilayer rigid and flexible plastic packaging with a circular economy model. 🌍 eco-dec not only sells used solvent recycling solutions. We are committed to research and development for new recycling technologies for various materials. 🇧🇪 Since 2023, eco-dec has been actively involved in a groundbreaking R&D project on recycling used PVC, as part of the CIRC-PVC consortium led by INEOS Inovyn. This collaborative effort is supported by several Belgian companies, universities, and research institutions. 🔧 Our Role: researching and developing solutions for the separation of specific elements in PVC through solvent dissolution. This cutting-edge technology is key to advancing the recycling processes for materials that are not mechanically recyclable today. 📣 Key Partners: Our consortium includes industry leaders such as Entreprises Générales Louis Duchêne, Vanheede Environment Group Logistics, ROVI-TECH S.A., Avient Corporation, Centexbel and the Université de Liège.
