🔔 Just wanted to drop some advice for those interested in diving into the world of cybersecurity. From my own journey, I've found that starting with Google's cybersecurity certification is a game-changer. It's the perfect launchpad for beginners, offering a comprehensive foundation in cybersecurity essentials. Plus, it's super accessible and user-friendly, making complex concepts easy to grasp. 💻 🔍 Once you've nailed that, consider leveling up with CompTIA Security+. Think of it as the next step in your cybersecurity adventure—it's a bit more advanced and requires some networking skills. 🔨 This combo of Google Cybersecurity and CompTIA Security+ is a winning formula for success in the cybersecurity field. More will come after I finish the next course with Google. 🏆 #CybersecurityCertification #Google #CompTIA #CareerAdvice

CYBERSECURITY TIPS FOR THE DAY TODAY’S TIP IS BASED ON THE Entire issues surrounding the Bug-Bounty Community. Here is a Detailed Steps and Guidelines from Fixitgearware Security To Assist Young Talents, Getting into the Bug-Program across various Platforms. From time to time, we will be updating these Steps, to assist the community, and those who are just getting into bug hunting, cybersecurity, and more, as part of our initiative to cybersecurity awareness and to create a growing community. 1. Know the basics: Certainly right, spend time away from social media asking for help always get to understand the basics of the type of testing you choose to partake in e.g. (web application testing, mobile application testing, cloud application testing, and so on). Pick any of these testing types, that resonates with your passion and stick to learning the fundamentals. What are these fundamentals? No doubt, they are vulnerabilities pertinent to the type of testing you have chosen to partake in. 2. Join Communities: There is a need to be in a community, it is not just an avenue to learn, but also a means to get acquainted to different perspectives. Yes, perspective matters, and seeing from different opinions, and suggestions would not just be a guide to help you, but also a means to speed up your learning process. 3. Learn how to conduct these testing’s manually: While automation tools are cool, nothing beats the traditional way. The traditional way is you getting acquainted to how a vulnerability is discovered, at what endpoint is the payload set and injected, and what is to be the expected outcome when the payload has been injected. A basic confirmation first using the manual approach to test that truly, that the vulnerabilities exist in an endpoint is certainly a sure way to have confidence when the automation tool is used. Results output would be understood, and certainly false positive can also be easily spotted [Think deeply there is something we are trying to communicate here]. 4. Learn Dorking: Yes, everyone is targeting endpoints such as IP-addresses, domain names, and so on. Most people ignore how GitHub can reveal a lot, believe this no one is above security mistakes, and most common credentials and mistakes are easily spotted on GitHub Repositories, and collaborations (for those who collaborate in open-source tools). [Think Deeply there is something we are trying to communicate here] … Tips (it is regarding credential usage in testing. Using of the same credentials used in the private Organization or employer facilities). For the complete list, check it out on Twitter [X] by clicking the link below: https://lnkd.in/gqKFZaaq
