I recently experienced a situation that many salary holders have shared with me—despite receiving a salary increment, my net take-home salary actually decreased due to moving into a higher #tax_bracket. This is a common frustration among employees. Acutually, #increments do not translate into expected financial benefits due to progressive but frustrated tax system. The reality is that policy makers, being somewhat removed from the everyday experiences of salary earners, may not fully grasp the impact of these tax policies on individuals. Employers should ensure that any salary increase actually results in a higher net pay for employees, not a lower one. Since almost 10 years, there has been a concerning trend of companies paying salaries between the 10th and 15th of the month. This delay causes significant issues, as many of our major expenses, such as school fees, electricity bills, and rent, are due on the 1st. In a time of high inflation and economic uncertainty, these delays lead to additional surcharges and financial stress. It is crucial for employers to understand the impact of these late payments on their employees' financial well-being.
