I love Thursdays because Grommet gets to spotlight 20+ incredible founders and their products—all designed to help us live a little better. As many of these founders are just getting started, early support is crucial for their growth, momentum, and overall mindset. This is why I love what we are building at Grommet—a platform that makes it easy to support these founders, even if you can't afford their product right now. By simply giving their product an "upvote," you're helping their innovation get more exposure, leading to more sales. Plus, you'll receive a one-time 20% off discount to try out their product. Every purchase made on Grommet is directly with the small business, so you're not only supporting innovation but also supporting small businesses. Check out some of my favorite products from this week's launch in the comments section. Let's continue to support these incredible founders and their innovative products!

Team Parallel hasn’t had a meeting in a conference room since circa February 2020, but as of lately a lot of celebrities seem to be? We’ve noticed a trend of ads featuring talent in conference rooms (beyond this Dunkin ad, Michael Cera x CeraVe, the cast of the Office x ATT, to name a few), and while these ads are mining the comedic potential, there’s a serious trend underpinning it: it’s becoming more and more normal for celebrities and creators to end up in actual board rooms as they take on more prominent roles in startups. It’s enough to make us want to get a conference room again, just to see who might show up… #talentdeals #equitydeals #celebrityinvestors

Went to NOSH last week. One big realization/takeaway.... 📈 I was asked what goodDog does. "Storytelling as a means of business growth," I said. "On trend," they said. And there I was. Being told that what we've done for over a decade is trending. It made me realize that as much as these gatherings are about new ideas/products/businesses and a focus on what's next, they're also about replicating proven approaches on business building. New products and trends come and go. Never a shortage. So do your thing. Do it well. Iterate on it. Constantly improve. Be best in class. Most everything repeats so be ready when "it" comes back to you. For the proven models staying the course. And those new ideas/brands/products, too. And, big kudos to the BevNET.com, Inc./Nosh/Brewbound teams (Jeff Klineman (he/him) Carol Ortenberg Jon Landis) and the three killer gatherings they put on in a 10-day sprint.

Remember the old adage of "Think globally, act locally"? Our clients have asked us to help them do just that. I'm excited next week to meet with their customers directly and learn more about what they experience during their work day and what innovations might be most impactful for them. This is what we do at Ellberry -- we observe, we listen, we ask open-ended questions and we learn from the people closest to the business. Then we can take our local solutions and repeat them in other markets and geographies - sometimes as is and sometimes with small adjustments. It's a savvy way to test and learn. Want to know what your customers REALLY need? Contact us today! #Ellberry #Listening #BusinessValue

"Why are pirates and founders similar Oli?" ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ In this video, Oliver Pollasky 🔥 dives into deep on why founders and pirates are similar. They are both complex. They are both on an adventure. They are both creative. And they are both vulnerable to being shunned (remember Capt'n Jack Sparrow - noone really ever got him) (check out my blog and watch the interview with Oli as he dives deep on founders.)

New Client Announcement! For those who know me, you've likely heard me talk about RoR (Return on Relationships). It's the title of a book I've been mulling over for some time now. Relationships are not just important to me; they have been pivotal in my career, and in my humble opinion, crucial to the success of any organization. My initial DCGO, LLC clients were already close to me on a personal/professional level, which makes sense. But landing my very first referral feels especially significant given our recent launch. A big shout-out goes to Jimmy Keown (and of course Jason Parks, Sam Meers, and the entire Barkley team for hosting our kick-off) a @digitaria alumni who connected me with Dan Holmgren and the Imagemakers team! Dan and Imagemakers are a really special shop. While the prospect of collaborating with another 'Maker' initially intrigued me (IYKYK), three things stood out during my interactions with Dan and his team: 1. Dan and I both launched our shops around 2000. While mine closed its doors in 2005 when I sold it and joined Digitaria, Imagemakers is still going strong. That, my friends, is no small feat. Major props. 2. Dan and I are cut from the same cloth. During our initial calls and meetings, we were amazed by how often we finished each other's sentences. It's like we're already on the same page, and that kind of chemistry is invaluable. (Hint: It's one of the top three reasons you win a pitch!) 3. Finally, let's talk about the work. I have a soft spot for underdogs, for the challengers, and the David vs. Goliath stories (at least in agency land). Their work punches above its weight class, really leaning into what I love doing, solving the hardest technology and digital experience challenges their clients throw at them, all with a smile and a service level that I’m finding super refreshing and unique. I'm excited to share what they do and just as importantly, how they do it, with my network and clients in Manufacturing, Financial Services, and Multi-brand Holding Companies, and that’s just to start! I'm delighted to collaborate with them on their growth plans and vision and can't wait to dive in with the entire Imagemakers crew! Here we go!! #NewClient #Partnership #DigitalTransformation #Innovation #Collaboration
