The next generation of talent is already here! According to Zurich Insurance, those "Born between 1995 and 2009, Generation Z – or Gen Z – currently account for about 2 billion of the world’s population and are expected to represent 27 percent of the workforce by 2025". This means that you can no longer expect to use the same attraction techniques - the same job descriptions, the same monotonous roles - the roles previous generations would have been excited to take will be turned down. The truth is, they have options and David Stillman, (author of Gen-Z @Work which he co-authored with his Gen-Z son Jonah) states that "More than half (56%) of the Gen Z members we surveyed said they want to write their own job descriptions, and 62% want to customise their own career path". With more opportunities than ever before across many different sectors, a lack of trust in employers following redundancies means that attracting and retaining the next generation is going to be more difficult than ever before. Here at PlanetTA, we have been advising companies on recruitment strategies that focus much more on opportunities, creating career pathways as well as a level of understanding of what will attract and retain this amazing next-gen talent. If you would like to get ahead of the curve and prepare for the Current generation that are climbing up the ladder as we speak - then get in touch by using our calendly link below: https://lnkd.in/ex4RydaJ And stay tuned as we will be releasing content on strategies, attraction techniques as well as retention strategies to make sure you not only find the right talent, but keep them!

In a world where the bottom line often takes precedence, there's a principle that remains non-negotiable for those committed to making a real difference: #INTEGRITY . It's the silent beacon guiding every action, decision, and interaction, especially for us at GoRescue, where saving lives is at the heart of what we do. Integrity isn't just a professional standard; it's a personal commitment that extends beyond the confines of our work. It influences how we engage with our communities, how we handle challenges, and how we celebrate our successes. It's about being true to our words, transparent in our actions, and ethical in our decisions, regardless of the circumstances or who's watching. This steadfast dedication to integrity is what sets us apart. While others may prioritize profit or publicity, we #prioritizepeople. It's not about being the biggest name in the industry; it's about being the most trusted. In the realm of lifesaving solutions, where every decision can mean the difference between life and death, this trust is our most valuable asset. Our focus on integrity means we do things differently. We take the time to ensure our solutions are not just effective, but ethically produced and delivered with honesty and transparency. We believe that this integrity in our approach not only makes our solutions better but makes our world a little safer, #onelifeatatime. In every facet of life, let's champion integrity as our guiding principle. Whether in the quiet moments of decision-making or the public declarations of our commitments, let integrity be the measure by which we judge our actions and define our legacy. #IntegrityAboveAll #LifeSavingMadeEasy

2024 Educator of the Year, Futurist, Keynote Speaker, AI Researcher & Author equipping leaders to navigate uncertainty with clarity ● Empowering teams ● Engaging customers ● Getting your people fit for the future
𝗙𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗙𝗼𝗰𝘂𝘀: 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 As a leader, you must focus on the right priorities as we move towards 2025. There are many internal issues - like flexible work, diversity, and AI - but the most important focus should be external - on your customers. 🎯 Are you focusing on the right things when you’re thinking about your work and workplace in the year ahead? I was reflecting on three conversations I had with clients and audience members last week - one in the insurance sector, one in mining and resources, and the third in a large state government department. In all of those conversations, people asked me essentially the same question: What’s the most important thing we should be thinking about when planning for 2025? If you’ve been following me, you know I have many answers to that, including flexible work, more diversity to tackle complex problems, and of course AI. These ARE important, of course, but they are also all issues you’re facing internally. The one thing that trumps them all is to focus on your customer. Think external first! Whether you call them customers, clients, members, patients, or constituents, it doesn’t matter. Always keep asking: What problems are we solving for them now and in the future? This has two components: 1. Be sure your customers, and their problems and goals, right now. 2. Understand the needs of your future customers. As a leader, you have this two-fold responsibility: to keep your team focussed on what your customers need right now, and also understand what’s coming up over the horizon and around the corner. You might think you do really understand your customers because of your experience, long-term connections, and strong loyalty. But it’s also easy to get so caught up in internal things that you forget about your customers. Maybe you were solving their problems in the past, but if they have drifted or you have drifted, you might not be as closely aligned anymore. This is one of the four pillars of the future of work: What I call “Assess”. This is about assessing future trends, knowing what they mean for your customers, and adapting your work to match. I’m running a free public online presentation about the future of work very soon. It’s open to everybody, particularly leaders who want to understand how to be fit for the future, especially in 2025 and beyond. I’ll share some ideas around each of these four pillars, and also give you practical things you can do right now in each area. It’s open to everybody, so please register and invite others to join as well. https://lnkd.in/gEg-8Avx Enjoy!

The #Power is #Yours: #CaptainPlanet in the #Corporate World -------------------------------------------------------------------- Remember Captain Planet, the eco-warrior summoned by the power of five rings – Earth, Fire, Wind, Water, and Heart? In today's corporate world, a similar #magic can be harnessed, not to save the planet from pollution, but to #save teams from the #toxic fumes of #conflict and #disengagement. The key - #Empowerment. -------------------------------------------------------------------- When leaders truly empower their teams, they become the modern-day Gi, Kwame, Linka, Wheeler, and Ma-Ti – bestowing the power upon their people. This #power isn't a singular ability, but a #collective force: 1. The Power of #Collaboration: --------------------------------------------------- Just like the Planeteers needed to combine their rings to summon Captain Planet, teams thrive when individuals work #together. Empowerment fosters open communication and a shared sense of #purpose, leading to #innovative solutions and a stronger team spirit. 2. The Power of #Ownership: --------------------------------------------------- #Decision-making isn't reserved for the C-suite. When leaders #empower sub-leaders and team members to make informed choices, it fosters a sense of ownership. People become invested in the success of the project, leading to increased engagement and accountability. 3. The Power of #Identification: --------------------------------------------------- Empowerment shines a light on those who prioritize personal gain over the collective good. #Toxic team members who focus on blame-shifting and #competition become easy to #identify when collaboration takes center stage. By fostering an empowered environment, leaders are essentially creating a team of mini-Captains Planet, each with their own strengths, working together for a common goal. This doesn't #eliminate conflict entirely, but it shifts the focus from "who's to blame" to "how can we solve this together?" ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Let's give the #power back to the #people. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- It's time to say #goodbye to the #villains of disengagement and #hello to a superheroic #team spirit! #beingmentor

Can we reorient our thinking from shallow time to deep time? What challenges do we face in being able to do this? But what joys await us if we do? I have been thinking a lot about the reorientation required in organisations if we have to address the existential planetary crisis today. And no its not carbon trading. It's our fundamental view of time and our engagement with it. Most of our organisational challenges today exist because of our very shallow view of time. What if we could embrace deep time? How would that shape our actions and decisions in the workplace. Share your thoughts #Organisationaldesign #DeepTime

Shoutout to all the companies with real impact! Today I'm mapping all 104 B Corps headquartered in Germany. But what is a B Corp? B Corps are companies verified by the nonprofit B Lab to meet the highest standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability. They're evaluated in five key areas: 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞: A company's overall mission, ethics, accountability, transparency, and how it incorporates its vision and values into its bylaws (e.g. employee engagement, diversity on the board). 𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐞𝐞𝐬: A company's efforts to create a positive impact for its workforce (e.g. compensation, training). 𝐂𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬: How a company serves its customers by providing products or services that support the greater good (e.g. ethical practices, providing education). 𝐄𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭: How a company works toward a more sustainable and regenerative planet by reducing its footprint and prioritizing its impact on air, climate, water, land, and biodiversity in its business practices (e.g. carbon footprint). 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲: How a company contributes to the economic and social well-being of the communities in which it operates (e.g. community involvement, charitable giving). ❓ Do you support any of these B Corps? I regularly post new Climate Tech insights. Follow me to see more content like this post. #BCorp #Sustainability #Impact
