My parents immigrated to the United
States, so I'm first generation American and they always instilled on me and my
siblings the importance of education. Hi, Alejandro Erives. When this program came about, I'm like this
is great, I can be involved in the schools that they're in in the school district and even
learn more about it so that's why I was excited to be part of it I wanted to learn more and do
more for the community and for the district. Once I was part of this program, I realized just
all the opportunities there are for the students, for the parents, for anybody that wants
to be involved and you don't even have to be a parent. If you live in
Plano ISD, work in Plano ISD, you can get involved and make sure
that your community is successful. So it was great to learn about all
the resources, it was great to see everything that was available and I
was just happy to be a part of it.
