Anyone else feeling the steering committee overload? I've been on both sides - corporate and consultant - and it seems like every project gets its own committee these days. Steering committees are valuable and needed for cross-functional initiatives, but relying on them for everything in my opinion is micromanagement from senior executives. What are your thoughts? Are steering committees useful or a roadblock to execution?
