PE || PP || PVC Sales & Marketing Professional with Hands-on Experience in Import & Domestic Market. Area Manager (Polyethylene & Polypropylene Business) at HPCL-Mittal Energy Ltd
HMEL has recently achieved another milestone by successfully producing metallocene Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (mLLDPE), a key material extensively used in flexible packaging. This achievement is particularly important because there has been complete dependency on imports to fulfill the demand for mLLDPE in the domestic market. The domestic availability of mLLDPE will help mitigate the risks associated with reducing the uncertainty and price volatility. Additionally, local production ensures a more reliable supply chain, enabling customers to have greater control over their operations, improve lead times and inventory control. This development of HMEL not only strengthens the local manufacturing ecosystem but also empowers businesses by offering them a stable, high-quality source of a critical material for flexible packaging industry.
