This is an interesting article showing that although AI algorithms have a high sensitivity and specificity; radiologists were able to outperform AI in chest X-Ray reading due to their ability to look at prior exams and clinical notes associated with the patient record which most AI solutions still don’t do. This demonstrates the need of radiologist and AI to work side by side for better clinical outcome.
