Two thirds of retail stock loss is driven by 10% of shop thieves!!!! These persistent and prolific offenders are often caught in the cycle of addiction, and if you don’t tackle the route cause you simply don’t tackle the problem!!! The NBCS foundation raisies money for some fantastic causes that helps and supports those individuals to break the cycle of addiction by addressing its route causation. Every single penny raised at this event will go to those just causes. Monies raised will not go into our profit pot, pay a large bonus to its employees or buy a fancy car. It will be put back into supporting those organisations that will ultimately help our industry. Next are proud to support the NBCS foundation and we hope that retailers, vendors and other organisations alike are prepared to do the same, please share this post as far and wide as you can. We prefer to say “people we help” or “people we support” because beneficiary can feel a bit clinical and “them and us”. How far does the power of social media stretch? Is it purely a gimmick, or viral "good story" cause? 🤔 We regularly see feel good posts of kids trying to reach as far around the world as they can, or our older generation reaching milestones and celebrating. Can it work to spread awareness of crucial services, save lives, or provide a support network for those who need it? In a few days time we have our first charity ball to celebrate our launch. We all know the potential of media networks, so if you want to help put a stop to domestic abuse, raise awareness of support services for survivors of abuse and support the growth of a charity, like, share and follow! Good point raised - how far does the power of social media (professional or otherwise) reach? This isn't a fluffy "feel good" post encouraging likes for the sake of a viral challenge or trend, this is trying to raise awareness of a charity supporting some of our most vulnerable people/households. I've got a fairly modest network in excess of 600 connections. LinkedIn tells me my posts are viewed by 3-5 times this number. How many people, I wonder, will pick this up and show solidarity in support of a vital charity?
