"Why White Space is a Designer's Best Friend" 1: Did you know that the empty spaces in your design are just as important as the content? Let’s explore why white space is key! "Enhances Readability" 2: White space makes text easier to read and prevents designs from looking overcrowded. It gives your content room to breathe! 🌬️ "Guides Attention" 3: It directs the viewer’s focus to the most important parts of your design, allowing you to highlight key elements with ease. 🎯 "Creates Elegance" 4: White space adds balance and sophistication, making your design feel polished and professional. 🖼️ #WhiteSpaceMatters #MinimalDesign #DesignEssentials #GraphicDesignInspiration #CreativeDesign #LessIsMore #CleanDesign #DesignTips #UIUXDesign #VisualHierarchy #DesignInspo #DesignDaily #Minimalism #ModernDesign #DesignStrategy

Ever thought 💭 about working with an interior designer? Here are 5 reasons that it could be a great idea 💡
My post last week talking about our competitors received record engagement thanks to some interesting comments from someone who had clearly taken issue with me. If anyone fancies calling me "sweetheart" please do so if it boosts engagement like this! I have been pondering all week since then this concept of competition, and then had a lightbulb moment today during a workshop hosted by Jordan Dargue. We do have competition for our products and services from other interior designers, but actually our main competition is in the form of indirect competition from the DIYers. Most people, including many of my friends and family, don't really know what we do, or how it would benefit them - so I'm going to get busy telling everyone! Another workshop I attended this week ran by Sally Roberts taught me that I need to make it easy it for people to work with us, so in an attempt to explain what we do and make it easy I've created a few slides. Let me know what you think.....and please be as mean as you like! #interiordesigners #interiordesign

A friend of mine once gave me a piece of home design advice and I always think about it when I am touring homes with my clients. The advice was, "if you buy the pieces that you like, everything in the room will all fit seamlessly together." What do you think -- do you agree with this or do you prefer a more curated design scheme? #interiordesignideas #moderndesign #modernandminimal #Realestateofmind #Realestateboss #Realestateagent #Realestatecareers #realestatematchmaker

Whilst we take stock of the past year, the plans we made at the beginning of the year, the influences that we were inspired by, we are also looking ahead. It is important for us at Parla to make sure we are achieving the goals we set ourselves practically, but none of these would be achieved without the inspiration, the ideas and the visual variety that goes alongside designing, craftsmanship + manufacturing. So we task different members of our young dynamic design team to conduct research. Their eyes are always open all throughout the year, spotting repeating design patterns, popular fabrics, choices of wood especially in hospitality interiors; however the assignment gets a little more playful when it comes to gaining an insight on the following year’s forecasted trends. What is going to continue? What is going to be a surprise? What is going to be most popular? All questions we approach slightly like a clairvoyant, we have our own hunches, the interiors industry experts have their opinions, and then there will be the reality 12 months later when we have lived through the year, visited + exhibited at international trade shows, and worked with leading architectural & design practices… So, we thought we would share with you the result of our research for 2024. #interiordesignreport #designreport #interiorreport #trendreport #commercialinterior
