Really fascinated by the evolving character of tentpole, big budget, console/PC gaming - and the revenue model. Increasingly, big AAA games rely on micro-transactions to drive revenue. As advertising formats evolve, cross-over between gaming and traditional entertainment accelerates, and cost imposes caps on what consumers are willing to pay ... there will be new risks and opportunities for gaming developers, platforms, and advertisers to inject advertising into the gaming experience. This piece from The New York Times is a good introduction to the topic. https://lnkd.in/dscSeiUe

What's the incremental reach opportunity offered by mobile gaming? 2023 was all about attention, and that won't stop this year, but my 2024 goal is to prove the incremental reach opportunity that mobile gaming as an entertainment channel delivers to an online video campaign. When you consider that our platform reaches 20 million people in the UK, with an average of 28 minutes play per day, I'm hopeful for positive results Watch this space, or get in touch if you would like to partner with me on a test campaign. #advertising #media #mobilegaming IAB UK
