Social Fridays at TekEir!!
To start the week off right we want to showcase how we ended our last; Social Friday edition!
Friday is the day that the TekEir employees’ get together to cook and share a meal while indulging in conversations and bonding. This is more than just a meal to us, it’s about building relationships and strengthening our team spirit.
Gathering together helps to bring all departments within TekEir together in order to share weekly insights and fuel innovation.
We want to prioritise work life balance. By setting aside time each week to come together, share a meal, and socialise, we create opportunities for employees to connect outside of work tasks and deadlines. Additionally, social Fridays at TekEir serves as a valuable reminder to prioritise self-care and taking time out to wind down.
At TekEir, we strongly believe that investing in employee bonding isn’t just about the fun, but creating a supportive and unified workplace culture where everyone thrives. By prioritising our employees' comfort, we're ensuring that they have the resources and support they need to excel in their roles and contribute to our collective success.

Encouraging Work-Life Balance in Summer: A Win-Win for Employees and Employers
As the summer sun shines brightly, it brings with it an excellent opportunity for organisations to promote a healthy work-life balance among their employees. Emphasising work-life balance, especially during the summer months, not only boosts employee morale but also enhances overall productivity and job satisfaction. In this blog post, we’ll explore the compelling reasons why fostering work-life balance in summer is beneficial for both employees and employers alike.

Since before Carve Communications, Inc. was an actual revenue generating business and before COVID was a thing, I knew our company mindset had to be centered around our employees personal lives were part of the work culture vs work culture being part of their personal lives. Or more simply put, work life balance.
Call it what you will but it is a vital part of any workplace culture, whether fully remote like we are now of if you're back in the office, like we used to be.
Those that don't choose to give their employees the freedom to live their life while also committing themselves to work are the ones dealing with so called "quiet quitting" and/or "quiet vacationing."
I recently spoke to Kelsey Vlamis of Business Insider about how we make work life balance work for us!

I think higher-ups are missing the lack of trust and respect messaging when denying the opportunity to work-from-anywhere. If you can’t trust me to do the work I’m contracted to complete, we have larger problems to work though.
If their need for control outweighs the greater needs of the employees to thrive in a position that isn’t required to be in-office, we have larger problems to address.
It’s also not the employees responsibility to manage the emotions of the CEO. We start crossing all kinds of lines when those rationals are used as excuses for decisions.
It’ll be interesting to see how many companies embrace this new culture and thrive, and how many companies fight it and end up with higher turnover and a less satisfied workforce; the rate of salary increase cannot realistically keep up with the increase in cost-of-living expenses and stress related to commuting and in-office appearances.
Anecdotally, I recently received a cost-of-living adjustment to my salary equal to the money I would save in gas, wear/tear on my vehicle, food, and clothing if I were allowed to work remote one extra day a week
Companies want to sell invisible paychecks but only when it suits their agenda. Which suppose is fair in war and business

Did you know that workplace fun can extend far beyond typical happy hours? There are countless imaginative ways to infuse joy into your work environment. Consider friendly challenges, recognizing personal achievements, and establishing distinctive team customs—the options are limitless.
For example, one team I collaborated with held a monthly photo competition with themes like gratitude and humor, which showcased everyone’s creative side. Recognizing both personal and professional milestones, such as birthdays, promotions, and work anniversaries, fosters a supportive atmosphere. Inventive traditions, like a celebratory dance after successful meetings, may seem quirky at first but can become cherished team rituals.
Let’s make flourishing your competitive edge by integrating more fun and play into our daily routines. When we cultivate a culture of fun, we not only enhance team spirit and creativity but also improve overall workplace wellbeing.
