Amazon launched an AI-powered tool called “Fit Insights” to provide sellers with more feedback on apparel and shoe sizing, helping to reduce return rates. The new dashboard assigns a review health rating to each ASIN and lists recommendations to improve size charts and other product page information to help shoppers pick the right-sized product every time. BRILLIANT! The Business of Fashion has published an insightful article regarding the health of the sneaker resale market - backed up by Neustreet data! We see the significant percentage of major brands and silhouettes that were selling above MSRP have declined in price throughout 2023. Certain hyped releases continue to command massive resale premiums, but many metrics indicate that sneaker resale profitability at a macro level has ultimately decreased. However, when we here at Neustreet talk to entrepreneurs and different sneaker businesses across the industry, we have a positive outlook for the overall growth of the sneaker market, the number of resellers, and in particular are excited by the enhanced competition from younger sneaker brands. Crocs doesn't stop with the collaborations! Crocs has announced their latest limited edition collaboration, with Tony the Tiger and Toucan Sam. You might recognize these two characters as the mascots of Frosted Flakes and Fruit Loops cereal. Considering Crocs recent strong run of collaborations, this doesn't surprise me. Though I wonder a couple of things: 1 - How Crocs picks their collaborators. A lot of their recent partners have come from entertainment and animation IP. Does this signal an emphasis on younger audiences? What works well or not so well? How do they decide who's a good fit or not? 2 - How much of the latest Crocs collaborators are inbound vs. outbound. At this point, Crocs collabs are so prevalent that marketers at places like Kellogg's are likely aware of Crocs appetite for collaborations. Has Crocs reached a point of cultural relevance that they are now receiving tons of inbound requests from CPG companies, studios, IP/Rights Holders? Crocs' growth has been a fascinating story in the world of sneakers and I'm bullish on the company's future. We’re Practitioners.” Yes, we do all of that, but we also get our hands dirty because that’s what we’ve spent our careers doing. We’ve always been successful working this way, and this is how we work with our clients. - As we’ve grown, we’re being asked to do more than just advise and consult. In fact, many have said “Can you just run our supply chain for us?” So we’ve added Supply Chain as a Service (SCaaS) to our list of offerings.
