I'm pumped about the opportunity to attend the IEEE Power & Energy Society Conference next week! These types of events never fail to energize both my personal and professional development. Gaining insight and perspective from the event and then carrying that momentum into our content always adds value to our message that can be passed throughout the workforce. A few concepts I consider when attending events and conferences: - Making new connections and strengthening existing ones. - Research speakers and session topics ahead of time. Allowing me time to actively listen and be present during the event. - Can I incorporate any information and insight taken from the event and make it a part of the podcast? - Are any exhibitors highlighting solutions or technology that is relevant to the workforce and/or our audience? - Be up to date on current topics and sports to engage in small talk. - Gather enough information to recap the event to the team and summarize the experience in a post.
