Revolutionizing Patient Care: University Hospitals' Tech-Driven Engagement 🌟 Srivishnu Pasumarthy, CTO of UH Cutler Center for Men and UH Ventures Director of Emerging Technologies, was recently interviewed by CDW Healthcare to share his incredible work to improve the care experience at University Hospitals. Pasumarthy created a customized app in 2022 that empowers the 'Joes' concierge team at the center. The app uses automation, tracking, and text-messaging capabilities to streamline what had been a relatively cumbersome process for caregivers. Now, the Joes simply turn to their tablet devices for everything from patient registrations and appointment calendars to medical histories and personalized task lists. “It helps the Joes work a lot more efficiently and create a much more personalized experience for the people they’re serving,” Pasumarthy says. “What used to take them 30 minutes now takes three, and they’re connecting with members like they’re chatting with a buddy.” "It is this kind of product development, leveraging collaboration with organizations such as Microsoft, that defines the best of healthcare innovation," says Kipum Lee, PhD, Vice President of Innovation & Product Strategy at UH Ventures.
