🥳Celebrating Nehru Ji’s Legacy🫡 🇮🇳 "Today, as we celebrate the legacy of Jawaharlal Nehru, a leader who understood the power of youth, education, and progress. Nehru Ji believed that the future of a nation lies in the hands of its youth, and he dedicated his life to creating a foundation for the next generation to thrive. His vision for nation-building through knowledge, curiosity, and unity is more relevant than ever. As a student, I see his teachings as a reminder to dream big, to challenge the status quo, and to seek knowledge not just from textbooks, but from the world around us. On this special day, let’s follow Nehru Ji’s ideals by embracing learning, innovation, and collaboration—the very values he held. After all, it’s in our hands to shape the future, just as he envisioned. #NehruJi #LegacyOfProgress #YouthEmpowerment #EducationForAll #ShapingTheFuture"

Nothing is more pleasing to see than a post like this on a Teacher's Day! Its the people like Babar Ali, its the the teacher in every commoner, its the contributions of these unsung heroes; that makes this country and the world at large a better place to live, and with some support and encouragement they can do much better. Teachers are one of the most hardworking and sacrificing community, especially in our country. They often travel to far distances, neglect their own, including health, so they can teach other kids. Its a noble service that often goes unnoticed. Since teachers are founding pillars of nation building, teacher's training and development, them carrying values rising above cast, creed, race, religion is of paramount importance. Training the trainer in alignment with greater human cause and values, towards peace, prosperity and rising the happiness index is crucial. #teachersday #unsungheroes #trainganddevelopment #trainthetrainer #happiness #thebetterindia
#TeachersDay "I saw children my age or younger working or just hanging around and I thought that they deserved to study," Babar Ali told The Ethicalist. This sense of justice ignited a passion within Babar, leading him to establish Ananda Siksha Niketan. Dubbed the 'world's youngest headmaster', he started his journey at the age of nine by teaching in his backyard, under a guava tree, using chalk borrowed from his own teachers. While Babar's father worried that his studies might suffer, the 11-year-old had his own plans for expansion. A formal inauguration with village elders and the panchayat (local council) brought a name - Ananda Siksha Niketan - and a committee to manage it. Today, the school is recognised by the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education. By the age of 13, Babar was invited to speak at Santiniketan by Nobel laureate Amartya Sen. He pursued his education alongside his teaching, earning double master's degrees in English and history. With support from donors, the school has grown into a three-storey building with modern amenities like a computer lab, digital classrooms, and a library. Over 7,000 students have received free education since its humble beginnings. Babar Ali's story transcends borders, inspiring students worldwide and even being included in the Indian high school curriculum. #BabarAli #AnandaSikshaNiketan #SocialImpact #Inspiration #WestBengal #Education [Teachers' Day, Babar Ali, Ananda Siksha Niketan, West Bengal, social impact, education, inspiring stories]

Recently, I had the opportunity to engage with Grade 7 and 8 students at Gordema School, thanks to an invitation from teacher Yeshiwas. It was an eye-opening experience. For 35 minutes, I held their full attention as they courageously voiced their concerns—concerns that left me deeply unsettled. The students shared that many of their teachers feel hopeless, often expressing that education has little value in the current Ethiopian context. As a result, these young minds feel stuck, questioning the purpose of learning. Even more troubling, many are searching for "shortcuts to success," resisting the idea of hard work and perseverance as a path to achievement. These are 14- to 17-year-olds—our future generation—grappling with such disheartening thoughts. It pains me to witness such challenges, but it also inspires me to work harder in guiding and empowering them to believe in education, effort, and hope as key drivers for a brighter future. ⁉️ How do you feel about this? What steps can we take as a community to restore hope and belief in education among our youth? (Picture Credits: From Sessions, with first round #Biruh_Temari Project Participants Organized by: NADAN INITIATIVES. It is ongoing project for next three years!) #EducationMatters #EmpoweringYouth #HopeForTheFuture #YouthInspiration #EthiopianEducation #Leadership #Mentorship #CommunityImpact #EducationForChange #InvestInYouth #FutureLeaders #ResilientGeneration #TransformingEducation

#MumbaiEdition During my recent conversation with Ms. Fatema Agarkar, Founder, Agarkar Centre of Excellence in association with Global School Leaders' Consortium she spoke about the importance of a multidimensional approach to teaching and learning. Ms. Fatema believes that students should be allowed to create solutions for possible challenges, and specializations should be about risk takers who combine innate passion with deep interest and subject matter expertise. This approach would allow for more interdisciplinary learning and would lead to students who are more well-rounded and have a broader range of skills. For example, we would have more lawyers who are also musicians, bankers who are artists, and scientists who become successful businessmen. I strongly believe that Ms. Fatema's vision is for a more holistic and integrated approach to education, where students are prepared for the challenges of the 21st century and are able to make meaningful contributions to society.
