Big thank you to Prof Amrita V Subramanian, Ph.D. for taking us on a 3 week Leadership Journey. Also thanks to my fellow learners who shared their views and experiences. 🙂 Sharing my key reflections and learnings as an individual, leader, follower, and member of family and community. As an Individual. I am now more aware about meta cognition (learning through experience), different levels of attention, observation, self-awareness, self-management. I know now when to trust and be trusted and work together in a team to reach the set goals. Self-management and Continuously Learning are two aspects i take with me to become a better individual as change starts from within. As a Leader. I know the triangle of trust, credibility, capability, caring. Where lack of caring & empathy can be a deal breaker for the team. The main learning for me is that as a leader we need to create an environment where individuals can flourish. (as behavior is f (P, E) ^ (n) 😊 . For this open communication, Integrity, Respect and Relationship building is key to build a Shared Leadership culture to make better and collective decisions. As a Follower. I learnt that I need to trust and empower others to take the lead for a collaborative and collective growth. While following I allow myself to look at the situation from a new perspective and thereby boosting my learning and innovation. As a Member of Family and Community. All aspects I learnt as an individual and leader or follower contribute directly to my environment, family, and community. By Active listening, empathy, empowering others, leading by example and supporting others together we create an environment of trust, positivity and greater good for all.
