Good morning everyone 🙏 Hope you are well and doing great! I am still learning about wire rope hoist and other parts of a crane. While learning all these, I am also working on my sales skills to have a good impression on clients. I come to know about five (5) skills that a professional sales engineer should have so thought to share with you. 🤔🤔 1. Technical understanding: A good sales engineer should know the company’ products and services Such as how it works, differentiation, and USP. It helps in resolving clients requirements and queries clearly. 2. Problem solving: It is prerequisite requirement of a sales engineer that shows the ability to solve customers’ problems and give them a better solution. Here, analytical skill comes into play so that right solution can be suggested. 3. Presentation: A sales engineer is required to communicate with clients, customers and stakeholders. Moreover, they need to present about products, sales growth, problems and many more. Therefore, a good engineer requires to communicate clearly and concisely to develop presentation skills. 4. Time management: A sales engineer has to manage several activities and meetings. It helps in increasing productivity, job satisfaction, and hit all deadlines. 5. Negotiations: This is an important skill that comes with experience. It helps in gaining profit and improve profit margin. However, customer relationships need to be kept on the top priority while negotiations otherwise it leads to rejection sometimes.
