It’s been a great month for Pride at Precision. We asked colleagues to snap selfies showing their pride, and for every picture submitted we made a donation to the The Trevor Project, a leading organization dedicated to ending suicide among LGBTQ+ youth, and to IGLA Europe, which fights for LGBTI equality and human rights across Europe and Central Asia. It’s another way we highlight support for our LGBTQIA+ friends, colleagues, and family members around the world. #Pride #PrideMonth #pride2024 #TrevorProject #IGLAEurope

📢 Empowering LGBTQIA+ Voices Against Hate 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ Did you know that only 1 in 8 hate crimes against LGBTQ+ individuals in the UK are reported? It's time to change that, and the Zoteria app is here to help. I'm proud (yup, that is me and my dear friend Ajay Pabial 🏳️🌈 on set back in March) to support Stonewall UK's latest initiative, Zoteria. This discreet and powerful app is making a real difference in combating hate crimes against the LGBTQ+ community 🏳️🌈 🏳️⚧️ Why Zoteria matters: • 𝗔𝗻𝗼𝗻𝘆𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘆 & 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆: Zoteria prioritizes user privacy, making it a safe space to report incidents without fear of being outed. • 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗮-𝗗𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲: Each report contributes to valuable data that helps advocate for policy changes and better support services. • 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁: Zoteria empowers individuals to take action and be part of the solution in combating hate crimes. In a world where hate crimes against LGBTQ+ individuals are still far too common, Zoteria is a crucial step towards a safer and more inclusive society. 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝘂𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗲. 𝗗𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗹𝗼𝗮𝗱 𝗭𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆 and let your voice be heard. App links 📲 in the comments. #Zoteria #Stonewall #LGBTQIA
Happy Pub Pride! The night where venues celebrate their local LGBTQ+ community, and welcome Pride month in their hometown 🌈 Our Zoteria app will feature in pubs across the UK from Friday 31 May to Sunday 2 June. Pub Pride was started 4 years ago by @AskforClive, a charity that partners with venues to promote inclusion and to create welcoming environments for the LGBTQ+ community. We are so excited to partner with Ask for Clive this year to help ensure that everybody has a great night out 📱📱 Look out for Zoteria in your local pub, or find a Pub Pride event to attend in the app https://bit.ly/3HW9JTg

A 2019 article in the Harvard Business Review made the case that LGBTQ+ inclusion is good for the economy. As more businesses make this connection, they are stepping forward to make an economic case for non-discrimination protections and against discriminatory laws. Fast forward to Andrea Frank, a Door County resident and recent Canary Fund grant recipient who helped to develop a project in helping businesses show their support for and welcoming the LGBTQ+ community. The Pride Flag Initiative (from Open Door Pride) is designed to offer free pride flags to local businesses or organizations to fly outside of their business to show customers they are a supportive, welcoming, and inclusive place. The goal of our initiative is to have all businesses flying the flag and support the LGBTQIA+ community. Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/gpC6exH4 Do you have an idea for a project to make your community more welcoming? Our grant application window is open until July 31, 2024. Our application process is easy and could help support your idea with a seed grant between $1500-$5000. Check us out at www.thecanaryfund.org.

June marks Pride Month, a month dedicated to celebrating LGBTQ+ communities worldwide. The fact that we celebrate in June is not insignificant - it coincides with the date of the 1969 Stonewall riots, widely credited as the catalyst of the Queer Liberation movement. Many countries have made great strides towards LGBTQ+ equality - but this has not been a globally consistent, or linear, path. Many Queer people are still subject to immense discrimination and injustice, and many Governments have or are seeking to introduce legislation which will roll back some of the progress that has been made towards equality - including in some of OC&C’s geographies. It is for this reason that we commemorate Pride - to celebrate the progress we have made as a society, but also to raise awareness of the inequality and discrimination LGBTQ+ people face daily. At OC&C, we look forward to hearing from our colleagues and clients about their journeys as LGBTQ+ people, and fundraising for our charity partner Just Like Us as well as other charities. Today we observe #IDAHOBIT, a day which aims to raise awareness of the ongoing violence and discrimination faced by the LGBTQ+ community globally. At our Firm, we celebrate our differences, and stand against discrimination faced by the LGBTQ+ community. At Baker McKenzie, we firmly oppose the ongoing violence and discrimination faced by LGBTQ+ individuals globally. This year’s theme, ‘No One Left Behind,’ serves as a powerful reminder for us all to raise our voices, confront bias, and cultivate environments where diversity is honored. Find out how the Firm is supporting LGBTQ+ communities around the world, and campaigning for greater equality. https://lnkd.in/dzkrWKim #WeAreNotNeutral #NoOneLeftBehind #IDAHOBIT #LGBTQ+

This June, I reread an article I wrote last year. Unfortunately, we’ve seen MORE legislative harm and attacks on the LGBTQ+ community over the passing year. It reminded me that the structures we create (in any environment) produce behaviors that serve that structure. As business leaders, we must be very intentional about the structures we create. Are we promoting inclusivity and acceptance? Or are we creating an environment that allows for or excuses exclusivity? The private sector can be a powerful channel to demonstrate what we stand for and demand when legislation fails us. 🏳️🌈 https://lnkd.in/eCTpyYvz
At COLAB, we kicked off Pride Month, celebrating the importance of acceptance and equality for all members of the LGBTQ+ community. Authenticity, one of our core values, reflects our commitment to embracing the true, multi-faceted self each of us has. We want everyone to feel comfortable showing up every day as their authentic selves, whether you work at or with COLAB. Last year, we wrote about the importance of inclusivity at COLAB. If you missed it, here it is: https://bit.ly/4caAv7Q We strongly encourage you to attend a pride event near you. It's a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our beautiful differences and show your support for the LGBTQ+ community. Happy Pride Month! 🏳️🌈❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🖤 #Pride #PrideMonth #DEI #Diversity #Inclusion
