If you're stumped -- that's great. Get curious about it.
If you're defensive -- that's ok too. Ask yourself why.

On the topic of creative team budgets:
It's an incontrovertible truth that creative is critical to the success of many businesses, especially brands and retailers and especially in e-commerce.
Not enough executive teams are brave enough to invest in their teams and invest in the tools they need to be properly supported (I think because they are addicted to data and forgetting completely about emotion, but thats for another LinkedIn post)
Ever since the means of mass producing imagery was invented, way back in the product illustration days, creative has been a critical element.
You can't win on logistics, you can't win on cost-savings, you can't win on lean principles. Not alone. You can only win on product and/or brand, if your creative is telling those stories.

COMMUNICATION IS SO FRICKIN IMPORTANT ✨
Last weekend, we went to attend the Coldplay Concert (still in awe btw)
Our friend group got separated and we couldn’t find each other for the next 30-45 mins! 🤣
The arena was big af, and there were SO MANY PEOPLE that we couldn’t find one another. 😭
When one would they they’re near the trees, bruh there are trees everywhere.
When the other would say they’re near the ticketing booth, bro there are multiple ticketing booths around the arena.
Same with bathrooms.
Same with barricades.
Same with entrances.
It was a communication exercise WE WERE NOT READY FOR. 😭
Which reminded me: Communication is so fcking important in business.
When everyone is aligned, has the same expectations, and has communicated especially on the most important things…
It can have the biggest impact and difference with your team / client!
Be clear.
Be specific.
Get on the same page.
Or you’ll go around in circles (like we did) looking for things that aren’t there. 🤷🏻♀️
