Dear Colleagues, Ever wonder why you have to wait so long to get a plumber, when you call for one? What about an electrician? What about having to wait weeks and weeks for your mechanic to have the time available to attend to your car? 𝗜𝘁'𝘀 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲, 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀, 𝘄𝗲 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗴𝗲 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗮 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗲𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀 -- those skills that make our lives livable in so many ways. Most often, these are careers for which one does not need a college education. As a result, young adults can get a lucrative, high-paying job in hundreds of trades and not emerge from four years of college education with debt and a degree which is hard to market. 𝗕𝘂𝘁, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗵𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀. 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝘃𝗶𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝘂𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝟭𝟮𝘁𝗵 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲. SkillsUSA Illinois is an organization on the move and is at the center of promoting the trades amongst high schools here in Illinois! As Senior Counsel for ACB - American City Bureau, Inc. , I have had the privilege of working with the team at SkillsUSA Illinois since January. The positive impact that the Organization has on the lives of young adults who are seeking a career in the trades is phenomenal. These positions are two great opportunities to get involved with a budding philanthropic services area, as we build it from scratch within the Organization.
🚨 We're Hiring! 🚨 SkillsUSA Illinois is excited to announce that we have two new positions available to join our team! If you or someone you know is passionate about making an impact and building partnerships, check out these exciting opportunities and apply today! 🌟 1️⃣ Director, Office of Philanthropy and Partnerships Lead the charge in cultivating relationships with individuals, corporations, and foundations to support our mission and annual fund goals. Community at Square | Maximizing ROI through strategic community building. | Writer, speaker, husband, brother, dog dad, and sometimes a DJ
As community managers, we often wear multiple hats and we also come from all different types of backgrounds and experiences. If a layoff in this space has impacted you, I wrote about ways that we can leverage and talk about our experiences for new roles across different departments. - Talk about how you helped with community growth and awareness for marketing roles. - Talk about how you reduced community members from churning and increased renewals for customer success roles. - Talk about how you created and launched a new initiative sticking to budget and timelines for project management roles. Our skill set is transferable and valuable, and if you see roles that you're interested in without 'community' in the title, know that you have the experience to get you there. #community #communitymanager #generalist

Your partner in simplifying agency and course business operations: Creating streamlined systems for clarity, efficiency, and profitability. Virtual Business Integrator▪ OBM▪ Community Strategist▪ SMM
What it feels like a Community Manager??? Being a community manager is like setting out on an exciting journey where every day offers fresh opportunities, victories, and relationships. 🌟 Although it may appear to be as simple as arranging events or monitoring online discussions, people in this position are aware that it involves much more. It all comes down to creating a dynamic, welcoming digital environment where each and every voice matters. It's about fostering involvement, fostering relationships, and fostering a sense of belonging among individuals who are varied. You wear multiple hats as a community manager: you're part cheerleader, part diplomat, and part problem solver. You serve as the link between the brand and the community, making sure that everyone feels heard and encouraged. It requires striking a balance between strategy and creativity, sensitivity and planning. Even so, there's an indisputable sense of satisfaction that comes from watching a community grow—watching its members create deep bonds, encourage one another through difficulties, and share in successes. There is an undeniable energy that comes from being at the center of something special—a community that isn't simply a collection of people but a close-knit family brought together by common interests and aspirations. Sure, there are late nights and unforeseen obstacles. I gladly dedicate this to all community managers worldwide: the unsung heroes of the background, the creators of digital towns, and the defenders of connectivity. Though your efforts may not always be noticed, they have a profound effect. Continue creating, caring, and motivating. Developing environments where people feel like they belong is something we'll keep doing together. 💫 #CommunityManager #DigitalCommunity #BuildingConnections #Belonging"

Here are some invaluable lessons I've gleaned along the way: Active Listening: Understanding the needs and of your community members goes beyond just hearing them out. Clear Communication: Transparent and timely communication is essential for building trust and fostering meaningful relationships within the community. It also ensures that everyone is on the same page and can actively participate in community initiatives. Collaboration: Collaboration amplifies our impact. By working together with colleagues, stakeholders, and community members, we can leverage diverse perspectives and resources to achieve common goals and drive positive change. Adaptability: Communities are dynamic and ever-evolving. As community managers, we must embrace change and adapt quickly to new challenges and opportunities that arise. Patience: Building a thriving community takes time and patience. It requires consistent effort, perseverance, and a steadfast commitment to nurturing relationships and fostering a sense of belonging. As I continue to grow and evolve in my role as a community associate, I invite you to join me on this journey of learning, collaboration, and community building. Let's connect, share our experiences, and inspire each other to make a meaningful impact in the communities we serve. Together, we can create spaces where everyone feels valued, supported, and empowered to thrive. #CommunityManagement #LessonsLearned #BuildingConnections #JoinTheJourney

With the efforts of The Founderly, in the 4 week program "Futurepreneurs- S1", I happened to start the organisation, Project Crystal :) While we have the vision of developing it as a startup, we are starting off as a youth led organisation, dedicated to destigmatise mental health, and nurture the mental health of younger generations. Which is why Project Crystal was started, to rise awareness at a local level. And hence, we are calling all individuals passionate about mental health advocacy to make a meangingful impact, to apply and implement their skills to make a better tomorrow for our youth! you can intern with us or volunteer for a limited time according to your needs :D 📌Positions Open: - Chief Marketing Officer - Chief Financial Officer - Executive Assistant - Graphics Director - Partnerships Director - Events Director - Social Media Director Note: Refer to the document attached to understand the responsibilities of each position.
