Fabric pockets correct the deflection that sometimes affect the #air that flows through perforations. The air from the fabric pockets is angled to counteract the deflection from the preceding row of perforations, aligning it so that the air can flow normally from the fabric duct. #fabricduct #hvac #textileducts

Another #prihoda innovation. Depending on the circumstances air that's travelling at speed down a duct can continue that direction of travel AFTER it leaves the duct. That's known as deflection, and we can calculate this accurately. Our pockets take some supply air and supply this in the opposite direction to counter this effect and 'straighten' the air. The supply air will lose some energy here and so it's important to correct the distance we calculate the air will travel. We apply this solution automatically to designs where we see this effect, you probably won't even realise it 🙂. Prihoda Fabric Pockets, unsung heroes #hvac #fabricducting #airsocks #innovation

What’s controlling the static pressure in your building? 🏋️ Built up pressure can lead to increased system noise, inconsistent air volumes, and strain on system components like fans or compressors. The Pressure Control Valve (PCV) is a standalone controller that can be retrofit as either a bypass unit or as a throttling device to maintain duct stat pressure, optimize airflow, and reduce system noise to offer relief to your equipment and building occupants. Learn more about the PCV here: https://lnkd.in/dbmYsSvd #bypass #pressurecontrol #HVAC

Central Air System Maintenance A central air system uses the same ductwork, fan, and controls as the forced-air furnace, so some of the maintenance requirements are the same. Test, adjust and balancing. #hvac #TAB https://lnkd.in/dPjkjFkd

✏️ LEARN FROM THIS! When installing adjustable diffusers, take a moment to be sure that they’re actually adjusted, as they won't always be in the intended position direct from the factory. In this example, they got pretty crafty by overlaying plastic air scoops to better direct airflow out of this linear slot diffuser… And to think all this could have been prevented, sheesh! #mechanicalengineering #hvac #airdistribution

💦 Dehumidification Jedi & Guardian of Dry Environments - ASHRAE Distinguished Lecturer - ASHRAE Course Instructor: Humidity Control I & II
🤔 How important is #HVAC supply air register and return air grille location? ⬆️ When I #Alwayslookup I constantly see things like this, and although for once I see no obvious microbial contamination on their surfaces, surely these HVAC duct system components were poorly planned and executed. 🔷 What are your thoughts on this? How much of a comfort and/or efficiency impact might poor air component placement make in occupant comfort and operating cost? ✅ Do you see this as often as I do? Please comment… #davidschurk #dehumidificationjedi #engineering #engineers #mechnicalengineers #mechanicalengineering #dehumidification

Automatic air vents: Critical components in fluid systems, particularly in HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning) setups. They serve the purpose of removing entrapped air, which can impede the system's performance and longevity. In an HVAC system, air can become trapped due to various factors such as initial system filling, changes in fluid temperature, or system maintenance. When air accumulates in certain points of the system, it can create airlocks, leading to reduced heat transfer efficiency and potential corrosion issues. These vents are typically installed at high points or areas prone to air accumulation within the system. By continuously purging air from the system, automatic air vents contribute to maintaining the system's performance, preventing corrosion, and extending the equipment's lifespan. #Airvents #airlock #hvac

Prihoda's directional #microperforations are uniquely able to gently #diffuse the air through only a portion of the circumference of the fabric duct, allowing better air mixing and control. Supplying cold air through the weave of a fabric duct can cause an unpleasant column of cold air beneath the duct. With directional microperforations we can easily avoid this, creating lots of air mixing with the surrounding air for a much more pleasant end result. https://lnkd.in/eMTQGgBV #hvac #labventilation #fabricducts
