Our team has a database of 159 patient recruitment websites. We see the same prescreening mistake over and over. It is the #1 reason why recruitment websites across the industry: • Drive away potential candidates • Send low quality referrals to sites The mistake is assuming that: ❌ Sponsors are the only ones doing the prescreening, and all prescreening is on the web form. When in fact: ✅ Patients are also prescreening themselves, and they use website design and content to do it. When patients land on a recruitment website, they are assessing fit too. • Can I trust this? • Could this be for me? • Can I see myself doing this? • Is it worth me taking the next step? A well-designed website with quality educational content empowers patients to confidently answer these questions. A poorly designed website with thin or convoluted content leaves patients unsure. When your website paints a strong picture of what clinical trial participation will be like, it does two things: 1️⃣ Increases comfort to take the next step Patients are anxious about trial participation. Study coordinators relieve anxiety by informing patients and building trust with them. But this process should begin at your website. Otherwise, many patients will not be comfortable enough to take the next step. They'll never get to speak to a study coordinator. 2️⃣ Allows patients to self select in or out As patients become informed, some decide the trial is not for them. Their decision is an educated one based on their needs and the facts of the trial. When patients know trial basics, they can screen themselves out. You save them and the site time. If a study has visits once a week and a patient's schedule will not permit it, it helps no one for them to get all the way to the research site. A higher quality website sends higher quality referrals to the research site. Now, 𝘩𝘰𝘸 you use design and content to inform patients is incredibly important. It's also beyond the scope of this post. So, the takeaway is: Recruitment websites can be an asset, or a liability. Don't let yours be an afterthought. 𝘌𝘴𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 if you are spending money on media.

Medical Science Liaison | Medical Affairs | Medico Marketing | KOL management | Strategic communication | Digital health | Ex- Entrepreneur
#Medicalaffairs aspirants it's not all rosy. I've been posting a lot about the pros of medical affairs, but there are cons to everything. The biggest one of them is a lack of #job security. Recently there have been some incidents of #layoffs in the industry. What should you do? Here's my take on this. The #private sector will never give you absolute job security (these days even the #government sector doesn't give that). Solution: - Focus on honing your #skills. If you're best at what you do, you'll be confident of having one or the other job. Both hard and soft skills should be your target. Never get comfortable in your job. - At the risk of repeating myself, I'd say learn to sell yourself. It doesn't matter how good you are if you don't know how to present it. This is true for your appraisal and for your interview. - Even after doing all this, there is not guaranteed job security. You are working for a business which goes through ups and downs. Be ready for the consequences. Above all this, I do come bearing good news. Medical affairs is a sunrise industry. Organisations and the KOLs are realising the importance of medical affairs. There was a recent Bain report on medical affairs which is worth reading. I am also attaching a LinkedIn screenshot about the job market. This is not the first one I've received. All in all, it's a sunrise sector but one closely related to the growth of the business. Just be mindful of this. Did you think of this while deciding that you want to join the industry?

Good post. I agree with this. Job security is a myth. Instead of limiting ourselves in a particular role, its important to upskill/acquire skills which would increase your employability. For example, #AI: thats an important skill to be acquired; also, writing is something which is required in both regulatory affairs and aggregate reporting. Research skills and customer interaction are also niche skills; required in #pharmacovigilance as well as #medicalaffairs. #foodforthought

Maximizing the impact of your LinkedIn profile is crucial for healthcare professionals navigating a competitive job market. Here are actionable tips to ensure your profile stands out to recruiters: 1. **Optimize Your Headline**: Don't just list your job title. Use this space to showcase your specialty and value proposition. For example, "Experienced Pediatric Nurse | Passionate about delivering compassionate care and improving patient outcomes." 2. **Highlight Qualifications and Certifications**: Make sure your education, licenses, and certifications are up-to-date and prominently displayed. If you are working on something that you really care about, you don’t have to be pushed. The vision pulls you
As a healthcare recruiter, I help numerous medical professionals transition into agency employment. Here are some key traits that if you possess these qualities as a healthcare professional, you should consider agency work… . . . . . ⌚Adaptable and Independent: Agency work often places you in diverse environments, each with its own protocols and procedures. If you're adaptable, you'll be able to quickly learn and adjust to these varying settings, whether it's a busy urban hospital or a rural clinic. Your ability to thrive independently means you can confidently make decisions and manage your responsibilities without needing constant supervision. This flexibility is crucial for handling the unexpected challenges that frequently arise in healthcare, ensuring you can provide the best care possible no matter where you are placed. 🤳Good Communication Skills: As an agency worker, you will frequently interact with new teams and a variety of patients, each with their unique needs and concerns. Strong communication skills are essential for quickly building rapport and trust, which is critical in delivering effective patient care. Being able to clearly convey information, actively listen, and collaborate with unfamiliar colleagues will ensure that you integrate smoothly into any team. This ability to communicate effectively also helps in understanding patient needs, addressing their concerns, and providing a high standard of care. 🗃Organized: Managing different assignments, schedules, and locations is a central aspect of agency work. If you are well-organized, you can efficiently keep track of multiple tasks and ensure that all your responsibilities are met. This includes maintaining accurate patient records, adhering to different facility protocols, and meeting deadlines. Being organized allows you to prioritize tasks, avoid errors, and provide timely patient care. Additionally, it helps you smoothly transition between various healthcare facilities, ensuring continuity and consistency in the care you provide despite the changing environments.
