We are #PrinceGeorgesProud to receive a $25.4M Low or No Emissions Grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation and Federal Transit Administration! This funding will support our Zero Emissions Bus Transition initiative, helping us build a new microgrid and energy management system and will also help us acquire 15 new zero-emission fixed route buses, 5 new electric vans, and new level 4 electric chargers, the fastest type of electrical vehicle charging available. Since FY19, we have received over $62M in state and federal funding for our bus electrification program. These grants are more than transformative investments in the future of our transportation system, but are a testament to the vision we have for the future of this community. We want to thank our Department of Public Works and Transportation, as well as our state and federal partners for all of their efforts.
