This process extracts only fructose, a simple sugar. Do you what happens when drink fructose? that spikes insulin in our body. Drinking fruit juice every morning can lead to frequent insulin spikes to control blood glucose levels. Over time, this habit can cause glucose to resist insulin due frequent up and down in levels, potentially leading to diabetes. Insulin resistance can lead to various diseases, such as polycystic ovary syndrome, dementia, leaky gut, fatty liver, Alzheimer's, and heart disease. This is why fruit juices can be harmful. In contrast, eating whole fruits is beneficial. Whole fruits contain fiber (cellulose) which moderates glucose spikes in the blood. Fiber also improves gut health and digestion.
