Today is World Day Against Witch Hunts. The world remains largely unaware or unconcerned about the devastating impact witch hunting has on our most vulnerable global citizens. As a descendant of innocent women executed for the colonial crime of witchcraft, I feel a direct connection to this atrocity. But as a world citizen, I am also connected because humanity is still hunting witches. What cause drives you? For me, this is the cause that fuels my daily efforts to learn, speak out, and deepen my understanding of humanity. The measures needed to end witch hunts are those that offer dignity and safety nets to entire communities. Any resources dedicated to witch hunt advocacy are not just drops in the ocean—they create ripples that can build the tide and current necessary to move communities away from hunting witches.
