Thank you all for the overwhelming response and inquiries! Many of you have asked about the current challenges that data-driven solutions can address. Instead of replying individually, I'd like to share some key problems we believe data can significantly impact. I will share more details as we progress in a separate blog article. Industry: Pharma/FMCG/AgroChemical/Apparel Problem: Counterfeiting is a major issue, with reports indicating that 20-25% of the market in these industries in India consists of counterfeit products. We are currently evaluating this problem specifically for the Pharma industry. Stay tuned for more insights on my LinkedIn page. Industry: Automotive Problem: With cars becoming more reliable and the rise of electric vehicles (EVs), revenue from service businesses is expected to decline. This challenge can be addressed by either increasing car prices or creating new revenue streams through mobility solutions, data-led services, and more. Thank you for your interest and support. Thank you for selecting and asking this question. The senior professionals do come across this kind of situation, and their response carries great importance and hence it must be crafted very carefully. One must do following under such situation. 1. Critical assessment of the situation in terms of cost, capacity, quality, output, root cause, safety and so on. Use all technical, commercial, behavioural tools to have correct and accurate analysis. With better analysis, decision will be based on facts & the decision making becomes easy. Don't miss any tool that will help in providing correct information. 2. Have clarity of objective- what must be achieved & what must be avoided. Think of short term and long term objectives, customer satisfaction, efficiency, optimized output & deliveries, reduced down time, costs and so on. Use polls and interviews with top stakeholders. 3. Brainstorm solutions with team of diverse and creative background, 4. Carefully analyse each solution to know pros and cons of each of them. 5. Decide best action plan focused on priorities & prepare milestones 6. Have good monitoring and control on the implementation. When the situations are dynamic, all the response as mentioned above must be validated for it's worthiness at appropriate interval of time. And if required, the entire process must be repeated. Wouter van Heddeghem thank you for this post. it makes sense. 90 days of notice period! Does it make sense? In 1996 notice period used to be 30 days. (labour law mandate) But someone (in India) was really in love with his employees so they made it 60 days. Love kept blossoming and they made it 90 days!! Really? Well, I said in "India" because I know in US it is just 15 days or in some states it's "employment at will" which means you can walk out anytime. So why in India we are so obsessed with long notice period? Someone will say - knowledge transition (KT). I will say no KT can take more than two weeks. Someone will say client's project. I would say those very clients let their employees go within 15 days! I tell you the real reason - it was just to make exit more difficult. Did it work? No, infact it made it more messy. Now people have more time in hand after notifying their employer so they keep interviewing and better their offer. This means if someone has 3 offers in hand, he is going to ditch two companies! Those two companies after getting ditched couple of times will try to hire only those candidates who are serving notice period. And here we go! We just started an artificial war right there! By making notice period 30 days we can definitely reduce this multiple offer mess. What do you think ?
