💡 Wicked Bugs and Innovation Stagnation 🚀 Wicked Bugs can stifle innovation and halt progress. Here's how: 📉 Resource Drain: Fixing elusive bugs diverts resources from developing new features. ⏳ Development Delays: Unresolved bugs can delay project timelines significantly. 🔍 Focus Shift: Teams end up spending more time on bug fixes than on driving innovation. How do you balance bug fixes with innovation? Share your insights! #Innovation #WickedBugs #TechLeadership #SoftwareDevelopment #Productivity #ResourceManagement

Product Executive | Advisory Board Member | Driving Product Value & Delivery | People-Focused Innovator | Strategist with a Twist | Fuelling Growth & Smiles
I was recently asked this question: What is the crux of great software delivery? After some reflection, I think it boils down to two fundamental elements. The first is 'value'. I've learned that cultivating a empathy towards our users' needs is vital. It's about seeing through their eyes, feeling their frustrations and aspirations, and weaving these insights into the fabric of our product vision and roadmap. The second is 'velocity'. It's the rhythm of our journey towards excellence. Beyond the pace of coding...it's looking at our processes, our mindset, and our understanding. It's about creating a culture where waste is relentlessly hunted down (lean) and efficiency is celebrated, where every team member is both a learner and a mentor, perpetually pushing the boundaries of what we know and how we operate. So, as we stand at the crossroads of innovation and growth, as product practitioners are we genuinely delivering value that resonates with our users' hearts and minds? Happy Monday!

Could your organization benefit from hybrid experimentation? Here’s how to tell: 🚀 Testing Velocity: Are your product managers looking for quicker testing turnaround and higher test volume? 💻 Development Resources: Organizations with busy development teams benefit from hybrid experimentation as it reduces the burden on developers. 💡 Code Releases: Without hybrid experimentation, organizations with infrequent code releases are limited in how often they can push server-side changes and feature flag tests. Hybrid experimentation is perfect for organizations needing faster testing iterations, reduced developer involvement, and more frequent and flexible experimentation capabilities. Find out more about hybrid experimentation solutions in our latest blog: https://hubs.la/Q02C3nt_0 #abtesting #experimentation #hybridexperimentation

A good litmus test of what a strong product culture could look like can be summed up in these 8 blocks. P.S. I had come across atleast 5 out of these 8 a couple of months back from somewhere I do not remember and I had copy-pasted it [and not saved for some technical reason whatsoever] for future reference. If you know the origin of this, please tag the owner! :) #productculture #productmanagement

I'd never heard this quote, but I'll be using it in future. I'd maybe also go with: "Release so regularly you forget you're even doing it" The very best projects I've been on were where we achieved true Continuous Deployment... that is that every single (paired of course!) commit was fully CI tested and went to production with generally not even a second thought after the push. There's something about small batch sizes and being forced to put your faith into the pipeline. Releases per day? Hundreds Changed lead time to prod? <20min Time to recover? See above - it's easier if your batch size is tiny! Merge conflicts? Almost never, and lot of the time it's easier to just redo the work because your batch size is so small Having been on the other side of the "excitement train" for both examples, I know which version I prefer! Is this always doable for every project? No. But it's something to think about when people try to tell you "that can't be done and will never work*", and trying to think about how to get nearer to it is a valuable exercise for any team. *Talk to Clockwork to find out how it can be 😉
“Write tests until fear is transformed into boredom” - Kent Beck It's true. It _does_ get a bit boring when there are no fires to put out. On the other hand, it frees up time for building amazing software instead, which is far from boring. Some forms of excitement are more valuable than others. #softwareengineering

The Importance of Asking Questions ❓ In tech, we're often expected to have the answers. But I've found that the best progress comes not from knowing everything but from asking the right questions. Whether it’s about code structure, project direction, or team dynamics, curiosity drives innovation. The next time you're unsure, remember: asking questions isn’t a sign of weakness, it’s a sign of strength and growth. Stay curious. What’s a great question you’ve asked recently❓ #StayCurious #TechLeadership #ProblemSolving #ContinuousLearning #Innovation #DevThoughts

Guilds, Squads and Chapters – Sounds like the basis of an adventure story to you? It is! 🤠 As part of our "Miles & More GmbH 2027" strategy, we decided to take the adventurous path of agile working to achieve our goal of developing products and services in a more efficient, innovative and customer-centric way. Knowing that the foundation of agile working is a well-thought-out structure, we created the "MLab". The M stands for the Miles & More GmbH as a whole. The Lab embodies the innovative spirit of this working model and represents the experimental breeding ground on which we continue to evolve. 🔭 It is based on guilds and squads: ⚡ Guilds are like groups of craftsmen who share their skills and knowledge to work together on challenging tasks. Each guild focuses on a specific area of expertise or competence, such as data analysis, product concept & design or customer service. ⚡ Squads are our adventure groups. These groups bring together experts from different guilds to tackle a specific initiative, such as our “My Challenge” feature in the app or the development of tools for a better programme experience as part of the Experience Pioneers Squad. Each squad is autonomous and self-organised, encouraging cross-departmental collaboration for an efficient and flexible way of working. With MLab, we have created an environment that thrives on cross-functional dialogue and the individual skills and strengths of its members to drive innovation in our product development processes. 💡 #milesandmore #workingatmilesandmore #insights Luca Einloft
