𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒊𝒔 𝑼𝒔 2025🎉🤩 ✨For years, Project Ghana has been working quietly—empowering children with education, fighting against streetism, raising awareness about climate change, and supporting the most vulnerable in our communities. These efforts have touched lives and sparked change, but so much of our work has remained unseen. ✨In 2025, we are rewriting that story. With our theme, 𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒊𝒔 𝑼𝒔 2025, we are stepping into the spotlight—not for recognition, but to amplify our mission. Visibility is not just about being noticed; it’s about being understood, building trust, and inspiring action. ✨This year, we are determined to: 🌍 Fight for a sustainable future through climate change education. 📚 Provide free syllabus-based education to Ghanaian students. 🤝 Help the homeless, the forgotten, and those left behind find hope again. But we cannot do it alone. We are calling on you —our future partners, sponsors, and volunteers—to join us. Your support can unlock opportunities for the communities we serve. Your voice can amplify our mission. Your actions can create lasting change. Let’s make 2025 a year where visibility fuels impact and togetherness drives transformation. 📩 Let’s start a conversation. WE ALL SHOULD BE CHANGEMAKERS The United Nations adopted the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in 2015, which are a worldwide endeavor based on these three objectives. Social inclusion, environmental conservation, and economic development. 17 SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT GOALS: SDG 1: No Poverty SDG 2: Zero Hunger SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being SDG 4: Quality Education SDG 5: Gender Equality SDG 6: Clean Water and Sanitation SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities SDG 11: Sustainable Cities and Communities... The list continues. Adoption of the SDGs by Nigeria is of paramount importance; By one or more of these principles, organizations like Youth Arise Africa, Truthsprout Africa, Yali Africa, SDSN Nigeria, Yiaga Africa, and Leap Africa all work to promote the SDGs. Through my nonprofit organization, Youth Arise Africa, I am promoting SDG-4: Good and quality education by raising awareness among young people, offering scholarship opportunities, personal development materials, skill acquisition programs, youth engagement, and suggested community outreach. Nonprofits in Nigeria are supported by foreign governments, organizations, and private individuals to advance the SDGs: Leap Africa has received sponsorship for her 2024 youth leadership development program all in an attempt to promote the SDGs and create more youth who will achieve the 2030 agenda. Your role in promoting the SDGs may include; 🛑 Learn more about the SDGs and how you can feature in promoting one or more of them. 🛑 Provide sponsorship to nonprofit organizations aimed at promoting the SDGs. 🛑 Conduct seminars, workshops, and community outreach to share your knowledge on a particular goal. Irrespective of what field you are in, you can promote and adopt the SDGs in your way. Now go and become a Changemaker. © Ambassador Eunice Ameh.

Attending International Youth Day on 12-13th August 2024 was an inspiring experience. Organized by Nigeria Youth SDGs Network in partnership with Oxfam, Global Initiative for Food Security and Ecosystem Preservation, African Activists for Climate Justice Senegal, Connected Development [CODE], the event centered around the theme: "From Awareness to Action: Empowering Youth in Nigeria for the SDGs," and it was a powerful reminder of the impact we, as young people, can make in achieving a sustainable future. 1️⃣ The event featured engaging intergenerational dialogues aimed at bridging the gaps between generations, ensuring that our voices are heard and valued. We delved into how youth are contributing to nation-building, sparking in-depth conversations on our roles in driving progress and innovation. 2️⃣ A key focus was on evaluating youth skills for sustainable development, emphasizing how our capabilities can be harnessed to achieve the SDGs. The "Youth Spotlights" session was particularly empowering, highlighting the incredible work being done by young leaders across various sectors. 3️⃣ Networking opportunities were readily available, allowing me to explore new avenues for collaboration and growth. The connections made and the insights gained will undoubtedly fuel my continued advocacy for the SDGs. This event truly embodied the journey from awareness to action, and I'm more motivated than ever to contribute to the sustainable development goals and to work alongside fellow youth in creating a better world. 🌍 #SDGs #NigeriaYouthSDGsNetwork #Oxfam #ConnectedDevelopment #GlobalInitiativeforFoodSecurityandEcosystemPreservation #AfricanActivistsforClimateJusticeSenegal

🌍 Empowering young voices to shape a climate-resilient future in Malawi. In Kasungu, Malawi, limited access to climate education and resources has left many, especially young women and girls, vulnerable to climate impacts. Through the Climate Champions project, Plan International Belgium, in partnership with Nazka Mapps and Climate Scale, is empowering 60,000 young Malawians with the knowledge, skills, and voice needed to influence their future. This initiative isn’t just about delivering climate facts—it’s about enabling youth to take action. By developing a youth-friendly, gender-responsive app and fostering community campaigns, this project helps bridge the digital divide, offering localized climate insights even in areas with limited internet access. Listen to Joke Van Belle as she shares insights on how this program goes beyond education, nurturing a generation of climate-aware, proactive young leaders in Malawi. Together, they’re building resilience from the ground up. 🔗 More information: https://lnkd.in/eDMnwdr4 This project received funding from the Flemish Government through the Flanders International Climate Action Programme, an initiative coordinated by G-STIC and Departement Omgeving. #ClimateAction #YouthEmpowerment #ClimateChampions #Malawi #SustainableDevelopment #GenderEquality #ClimateEducation #ResilientCommunities #YouthInAction #GlobalPartnerships Ineke Adriaens Ides Bauwens Lien Bakelants

Here's my 2024 Highlights: 📖🗣️✈️🥳 2024 proved something powerful: Youth aren't just the future of climate action—we're leading it RIGHT NOW. 🌍 From Ghana's forests to global climate stages, this year was about turning local passion into worldwide impact. When they said young people can't drive change, we showed up and proved them wrong. Highlights that prove youth leadership works: • Selected for Global Youth Climate Training Programme from over 10,000 applicants. Being chosen validated what we already knew - youth have the solutions. https://lnkd.in/dfjSPvBc • Advanced to top 80 in Youth Climate Innovation Programme, transforming innovative ideas into real climate solutions. https://lnkd.in/d4x5msEr • Led grassroots movements against Galamsey in Ghana, proving that local advocacy creates global awareness. "We cannot allow this to continue. We will keep protesting, picketing, and raising our voices for the betterment of Ghana." https://lnkd.in/dVxeSYYQ Through Greenstoration Ghana, we expanded our impact beyond borders. Representing youth at COP28 wasn't just an honor—it was a responsibility to amplify voices often ignored in climate conversations. In 2025, we're scaling up. More land restoration. More youth empowerment. More climate action. The fight for our planet isn't coming—it's here, and we're leading it. To every young person feeling overwhelmed: Your voice matters. Your actions create change. Let's keep pushing forward. 💚 #YouthClimateAction #ClimateLeadership #GhanaClimateAction #GlobalChange #LinkedInRewind #Coauthor #2024wrapped

Walking the Talk; Talking the Walk The Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) also known as the Global Goals are a collection of 17 goals and the universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity. The SDGs, a succession of Millennium Development Goals (MDG) took effect from January 2016 after its adoption by the UN General Assembly during the UN Sustainable Summit in September 2015 at New York City, the USA. These goals are to guide the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) policy and funding until 2030. Following the post-2015 development agenda, there came a strong call for a bottom up process in which young people’s voices are included and youth are actively engaged in the process employed. This forms the central objective of the Own-A-School project under the SDG Advocacy Program initiative by UN SDSN Youth - Nigeria At Anglican Comprehensive Secondary School last Friday, I provided hands-on training on the SDGs to students and teachers of the school. It was really rewarding, as I saw faces lit up with hope, and beyond that we had young people speak about what they will start to do to contribute to the attainment of the goals, starting with their immediate environment. I also made the students commit to pursuing long terms goals that will position them to be major contributors and drivers of social and economic reforms and change. As the saying goes… It is better to light a candle than to curse the darkness. I believe this effort will go a long way in helping these young ones believe there’s so much they can do to solve the problems of the world through their actions and engagements. Thank you UN SDSN Youth - Nigeria for the privilege and opportunity. #sdgs #ungoals2030 #2030agenda #ownaschoolproject
