What are some of the top reasons why we use POCUS? In our recent POCUS Power Hour: Obstetrics and Gynecology Special, we talked with medical professionals about how the accessibility and handheld nature of point-of-care ultrasound can be crucial in emergency situations for pregnant women, particular when they've gone through a trauma. Cecilia Leggett, MD, an MFM Fellow in the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine and Obstetrics, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Stanford University School of Medicine, shared more specifically about the two instances where it makes a difference in their workflow for deciding whether or not to operate. There are long-term care benefits to POCUS too, like treating women who are carrying high-risk pregnancies. Share below what you feel is the most impactful part about point-of-care ultrasound when it comes to OB/GYN! #pocus #fetalmedicine #maternalhealth #ultrasound
