They presented the project entilted Modular Fiber Reinforced Battery (MFrB) for the development of an innovative modular and customizable battery pack with a lightweight composite case and improved safety for the OEM sector. Born and raised in Indiana, Jaqui moved to Ohio after finishing school to begin working at Milacron as the Product Management Associate for the Roboshot Product line – the All-Electric Injection Molding Machine created in 1985 through a partnership between Milacron and FANUC America Corporation, a company that is well-known for their commitment to quality. Milacron first made the switch from CNC Machinery to Plastics in 1968 and today provides integrated turnkey solutions that encompass all stages of production from material handling to part management. One product offering related to part management is Roboshot's LINKi2 software, which can track the production status of the fleet of machines and records the molding results for every cycle. Recently added features include Power Consumption monitoring, Overall Equipment Effectiveness calculations, and their collaboration with Moldex3D to use the processing power of LINKi2 to create a detailed simulation of the finished product. Jaqui has given several technical presentations related to LINKi2 and other product offerings related to the Roboshot. Jaqui will be attending NPE for the first time this year and will be presenting the new Moldex3D + LINKi2 capabilities at the Moldex3D booth. In addition to being a powerful processing tool on its own, LINKi2 also can send the data to a company's Manufacturing Execution System using Euromap communication protocols. The technology is based on photothermal tomography and offers advantages such as rapid scanning, no contact with the material, and absence of harmful radiation. They are targeting the aviation and aerospace industries as well as the automotive industry. The partnership with ENGEL Austria is focused on demonstrating the quality assurance of their 3D V-ROX system in the manufacturing cell at ENGEL.
