Munters Acquires Italian Data Centre HVAC Firm Geoclima 🌍 Munters has announced the acquisition of Geoclima, an Italian manufacturer specialising in air- and water-cooled chillers. The terms of the deal remain undisclosed, but it will be fully financed through existing credit facilities and is expected to close in the second half of 2024. Geoclima's founder, Paolo Ferraris, who has served as CEO for 30 years, will continue as managing director for at least the next 12 months. By integrating Metasensing technology at the 𝐋𝐞 𝐆𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐬 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐌𝐞𝐭𝐫𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭, Encardio ensured the ambitious construction of new metro lines, and the expansion of existing ones. We deployed over 2,000 instruments with datalogging capabilities, including inclinometers, strain gauges, and pressure cells that facilitated real-time monitoring to navigate the complexities of tunneling beneath the densely populated areas of Paris.   This project included the extension of Line 16 and the creation of a massive 75 km (about half the distance from Washington, D.C. to New York City) underground Line 15. The Le Grand Paris Express Metro is set to streamline the connectivity in and around Paris, with phases rolling out from 2022 to 2030.
