"𝙎𝙤, 𝙙𝙤 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙮 𝙦𝙪𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙢𝙚?" This is the way most job interviews begin their wrap-up. But unfortunately, this usually takes place with about five minutes left in a 30-minute interview. We want a candidate to learn as much about us as we do about them. Next, work to bring additional empathy into the interview. Put yourself in the candidate's shoes. How would you feel if you were them? Once you do that, you'll likely have them intersperse their questions with yours. 𝗙𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆, 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝗸𝗲 𝗞𝗜𝗣 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 is a great way to reduce the number of questions you need to ask a candidate. Recruiters will help you ascertain cultural, and personality fit up front to allow you more time for balanced questions. In the end, both you and the candidate will enjoy (yes, enjoy!) the process more. #interviewtips #jobinterview #hiringsuccess #bestadvice #coaching

I went on 70 interviews — no offers My next set of 30 interviews — 25 offers And it was because I figured out 2 key things 👇 1. I stopped worrying about the “perfect” answer 2. Every decision-maker is different, the right answer for one may be wrong for the next. There are no perfect answers There are no perfect candidates But people do want to work with people that they connect with Instead of trying to be that perfect candidate, I focused on rapport and relationships Everyone in the interview process is qualified — that’s how you got to the interview process in the first place To stand out, you need to be human and connect with others. And understand their problems, The things keeping them up at night. Then position yourself as the answer to their problems. These are 2 key fundamentals to be able to get multiple job offers. If you want to learn more about “HOW” to do these. Let me know. It changed my life. And it can change yours too! Don’t forget to prepare these for your next interview... Questions you want to ask 💬 Always have questions prepped to ask the interviewer. This opens the floor for you to find out more about them. As well as highlighting that you’re keen and interested in the role. You want it to be a 2-sided conversation, not just them firing questions at you. Having something to ask back helps build rapport! 🙌 Toward the end of an interview, they’ll most likely ask if you have any questions for them. This is your chance to ask if you haven't already! ALWAYS ask the interviewer about their role and what they like about the company. And I'd recommend having a few others prepared so you don't look like you've frozen. 🧊 Help a fellow engineer out in the comments. Suggest some q’s they should ask the hiring manager in their next interview 👇 #Interviews #InterviewPreparation #Recruiter

What if we sent over the interview questions beforehand?🤔 Job interviews can bring out a lot of different emotions in a short amount of time. Some people interview better than others. Doing this simple thing can improve your impression in the interview! Interviews are supposed to be a conversation and not an interrogation So NEVER skip the small talk at the start of the interview When the recruiter asks, “How are you? How has your day been?” Don’t just give small responses like “Fine” or “It’s been good” Give them a little something to understand you better Give more details and try to build a positive rapport But keep in mind to be brief as well And always return the question to the recruiter as well, to learn more about them Small talk is one of the most critical ways we build relationships in the business world So this will help you a lot! Do you skip the small talk in interviews? Let me know in the comments! #HR #Hiring #InterviewTips
