June is National Safety Month! We're kicking it off with a popular product from our hazardous location line, the intrinsically safe ISQBX. The ISQBX control valve is an intrinsically safe electronic pressure regulator designed to precisely and proportionally control the pressure of inert gases in hazardous locations based on an electronic signal. - Full vacuum to 150 PSI (10.34 Bar) - Flows up to 0.8 SCFM under static/deadheaded conditions - FM approved and rated intrinsically safe for hazardous locations (see below for complete classification) The FM Approved Intrinsically Safe ISQBX operates using two normally closed solenoid valves, a pressure sensor and a control circuit. One valve is actuated to allow unregulated supply media into the system. The second valve actuates to allow working media to vent to atmosphere. The pressure sensor provides feedback to the control circuit. The control circuit compares the pressure sensor feedback to the user supplied electronic command signal and actuates the appropriate valve until the two signals match.

POWER TRANSDUCER LAB TEST USING CALMET TS-33 Before installing a transducer, Energy Meter or any other secondary equipment into live panels, it is critical to ensure that they are pre tested and possibly programmed in advance. This saves time on site and avoids installing a defective equipment on a live circuit which can cause other problems. Secondary injection test sets like the calmet TS-33 or CMC 356 come in handy in carrying out such tests on devices such as Energy Meters, Trandsucers and relays.

Safety is important for electrolyzer.

All GfG devices with catalytic LEL sensors for combustible gases and vapours have an integrated safety function. If the measuring range is exceeded by 12% (112 % LEL), the sensor is de-energized for safety reasons, mainly because there is a high risk of explosion, but also because the measurement signal would decrease again, even with increasing gas concentration, due to the sensor lacking the oxygen required for catalytic combustion (ambiguity). Switching off the sensor also prevents excessive wear at such high concentrations of combustible gases. You may only clear this condition by acknowledging it on your device when you are certain it is absolutely free of combustible gases. Brilliant news, Airoptic Sp. z o.o. 👏 We're thrilled to hear the GasEye Cross Duct TDL Analyzer has been certified by the QPS Evaluation Services Inc. for use in challenging hazardous areas in the US and Canada. This is a great piece of kit and one we spotlighted earlier this month. It works by utilising tunable diode laser (TDL) absorption spectroscopy. The central unit sends a laser light through the process which is detected by the receiver unit mounted on the opposite side of the process. When a gas of interest is present in this process, it changes the light's intensity, indicating its concentration.
