This is the copper tubing representing the refrigeration cycle of a mini split air-conditioning system. Note the cooling coil at the top where heat is absorbed, the blue line, refered to as the suction line used to return refrigerant in vapor form to the compressor, the red line carries hot gas after being compressed to high pressure in the condenser then gives up heat to the atmosphere, high pressure high temperature gas goes through a filter drier and is pumped through a refrigerant control where gas pressure is reduced en route to the evaporator where heat is once again absorbed and the process continues until the area is cooled and an indoor thermostat turns off the unit until there is a demand for cooling. Older Process or Rooftop Chillers on Your Site/s?   Why not explore replacing them   The average lifespan of a chiller is dependent on how heavily it’s used and how well it is maintained. Manufacturing process chillers for example, tend to be used much more heavily than a chiller for comfort purposes. Oops I did it again... 2 corroded, out of warranty evaps leaking in a walk in and need to be replaced. I just bought this customer time, but also refused to add anymore refrigerant if this happens not to pan out. Again, I'll explain for the ones in the back.
