🚀 Exciting news for the UK! 🚀 This week, the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology announced a major push for AI to enhance public services across the country. With £32 million slated for 98 AI projects, the government aims to revolutionise how services are delivered. This transformative initiative will see more than 200 businesses and research organisations working together to drive efficiency and cut down on administrative tasks. The funding will be channelled through the UKRI Technology Missions Fund under the Innovate UK BridgeAI programme. From reducing train delays to streamlining prescription deliveries, these projects are set to tackle some of the nation's biggest challenges. 📈 Minister for Digital Government and AI, Feryal Clark, highlighted how this support could boost the economy and improve public services, truly demonstrating the power of technology to effect real change. It has been an honor to participate in sectoral discussions at the International Telecommunications Union. I’d like to thank Prof. Emanuele Giovannetti and Mr. Cameron Kerry for their great opening speeches. Special thanks to Mr. Arseny Plossky for coordinating the session and for the original idea to poll the audience. Most participants agreed that i) it is competent regulatory authorities that must lead data protection initiatives, and ii) that securing this protection is more important than giving people money back for their data. Representing Axon Partners Group - many thanks again for trusting me for the event -, I presented my views on the peculiarities of personal #data as an economic good, and summarized  the regulatory landscape shaping the #dataeconomy in the EU.
