What's your purpose?
I had the chance to attend Paul Simms' webinar last week about "Pharma but with purpose," and... Honestly, I find it disrupting.
I loved this webinar because it made me think and reconnect with my own purpose.
I've grown up in my aunt's small pharmacy, and from my first childhood, I wanted to be a pharmacist and help patients, as per my aunt.
I watched her and her employees helping patients even in small ways, providing support and the right medication, being present throughout their journey and talking to them, motivating them.
I changed my path from retail pharmacy to the pharma industry and specialized in providing the right communication to HCPs.
But never changed my purpose.
And in each project, I try to concentrate on effectively delivering the right content to the relevant HCPs, enabling them to choose the appropriate product for the right patient.
This type of topic isn't commonly discussed in Pharma, which is completely opposite to the fact that we've all chosen this path because we believed in helping others with their health struggles.
But once we step into the Pharma industry world, we are a bit lost between the charts, the figures, the business plans, the business objectives... And it happens that we lose our purpose objective.
And that's so bad, for us of course, but also for the whole industry and health conditions.
What about you, what is your story? what's your purpose?
