I can’t quite recall when Barb McGregor and I first crossed paths; perhaps it was at a Hobart Hurricanes game or during her tenure in the Executive building with Premier and Cabinet. Regardless, one thing remains constant—we've always shared a fondness for a good cup of tea and stimulating conversation. Misinformation and Disinformation on a high-octane fuel of AI: is one of the biggest new developments that the Public Relations professional is going to grapple with in the next chapter of reputation management. While fake news has been around for a while, it’s now been fed on a steroid diet of AI boosted supplements and this means far reaching changes in the way the PR world will need to gear up to navigate this challenge and opportunity. Digital Detoxing and Digital Micro Dosing: Internet connectivity and human connectivity are so closely linked. In a world emerging from the online overdose that the pandemic induced, on one hand people have had enough of their screens and on the other hand the real-world connections are proving harder to find and maintain. An opportunity that is emerging is for small group digital engagements where people can connect. This is very different from the past ways in which digital has been used to scale and reach mass audiences. Digital Micro Dosing is what is likely to emerge in this phase. Think small group online gatherings based on shared interests.
