What a fantastic morning 👌🏼! We - the members of the Champions of Change Club - got invited to a working breakfast by Olga Leonowicz and His Excellency US Ambassador Mark Brzezinski 🇺🇸 to share the best practices in the area of #DEI 🌈. Behind this initiative were Olga Kozierowska and Anna Flis who have been doing an amazing job ✌🏼 in passionately supporting Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in the corporate universe in Poland 🇵🇱. I had an opportunity to present some of concrete achievements, activities and initiatives in BNP Paribas Bank Polska. In our bank we treat diversity very seriously and that is why, since January 1, 37.5% of the Management Board and 42% of the Board of Directors are women. Last year, to the four existing employee networks, two new ones were added. They support people with disabilities and neurodiverse colleagues. Personally, I am very proud that our employees have the courage and willingness to act and to make changes that will make their professional life easier 👍🏼. I would not be honest if I did not mention the challenges that we face. Activation of people with disabilities is still a sphere where we have to be more active and definitely do more! I am modestly happy that the employment rate of people with disabilities in our bank is constantly rising, though 😊. Supporting and implementing DEI in an organisation is a process. It requires genuine firm commitment of senior leadership. We have to be consistent in our actions, but also patient. We did a lot, but we are humble and know that there is still more to be done 📈. Last but not least, DEI is mostly about our people. Business leaders have to listen to them and empower them to drive changes! 7moFor once Przemek, I am not in total agreement. Great to support diversity and support people with disabilities, however I am not a fan of the DEI dictatorship these days. One can do it naturally without going through the quotas: quality and humanity can prevail naturally
