After spending 21 years of my life co-leading CDP it is a joy to see ERM promoting #disclosure through CDP and supporting our clients to strengthen their strategy, disclosure and implementation of their #sustainability plans. With an increasing wave of mandatory sustainability disclosure requirements including ESRS-CSRD International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB) FSB Task Force on Climate-related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) California SB261 &253 etc., CDP remains the leading practice of climate and environmental (#water, #forests, #biodiversity, #plastics) disclosure. It sets the highest bar and continues to be the "gymnasium" to get fit and prepared for those mandatory requirements. Leading companies are using that data to better inform investment decisions, build resilience and identify new opportunities. As our market alert sets out, there are some significant changes from CDP this year in terms of the structure of the questionnaires, the scoring methodology and the disclosure platform. All good improvements that disclosing companies will benefit from understanding. 23,000 companies disclosed through CDP last year and we expect that to be higher again in 2024.

Successfully completed a course titled: Green Skills & Social Accountability organized by Global Youth Leadership Center (GYLC). Its an online course and the following topics were covered:- a) Understanding of the science behind climate change. b) How climate change specifically affects youth and communities in the Global South. c)  Develop effective leadership skills to address climate challenges in your community. d) Master strategies to effectively mobilize and inspire others to join the climate movement. e) Understand the role of youth in promoting transparency and accountability in climate actions. f) Explore available resources and funding mechanisms under the UNFCCC to support climate initiatives. We are delighted to be named again on CDP's A List for our commitment to transparency and performance on #ClimateChange. More than 21,000 companies were scored, up by 24% since last year, but only a small number achieved an ‘A’. The CDP has established itself as a leader in this space, with a rigorous approach to assessing comprehensive disclosure, including management of environmental risks, with environmental leadership — such as setting ambitious and meaningful targets. 🌍 We share with you a summary of yesterday's Climate Leadership community meeting, held on the occasion of the launch of the report "Business for Change 2024" (link to the report 👉 https://lnkd.in/dZXPKty8). The event was organized by UNEP/GRID-Warszawa. The debates covered the transformation of regions and the role of business in community action. An interesting part of the meeting was the "climate slalom", where Joanna Maraszek led a discussion on the implementation of the CSDD (due diligence). 🌿How will it affect Polish business? 🌿How will companies handle the implementation of due diligence? 🌿How will it be verified?
