As part of our 70th-anniversary celebration, we want to highlight some of our past presidents who have contributed to PRSA Pittsburgh over the years. Meet Dan Ayer, our 2014 President! 🌟 📣 How did you get involved with PRSA? When I was in my first job I was looking to meet some people outside of my office who were in the field. I dove right in and joined the board as a chair on a committee. 📣 How was your experience as President? All my major scandals were fairly minor, so I’ll say it was a success. 📣 What’s one memory you have from PRSA? I actually met my wife at a networking happy hour! Some other fond memories are seeing teammates of mine win their first Renaissance Awards. It’s a great feeling to see people recognized publicly for their hard work. 📣 What’s one piece of advice you’d give to someone joining PRSA? Don’t do it… Unless you plan on getting involved. I’ve seen too many people think that joining or registering for PRSA is a magic button to build your career. Join a committee, be a part of the board or at least go to a networking event. Like anything, the more you put into it, the more you get out of it. Interested in learning more about #PRSAPgh?
