I have a confession to make, LinkedIn. I don't always drink coffee... Caffeine is my friend until the end, but the mean bean isn't my only source. Recently I stumbled upon this Weird Yerba x Grateful Dead iced tea collab. I'm sure their marketing team has a picture of me up on their ICP wall, because they know exactly what I like. The art on the can (and especially the 4-pack box) is killer, and the drink itself tastes great. In an effort to keep my review honest, I do wish the grapefruit flavor was more pronounced. FRIDAY FUN FACTS 🤡 Did you know that when our customers are presented with two options, they have a hard time determining their value? However, adding a third option helps guide them to a specific choice. HOW? 🤔 It's called the Decoy Effect, whereby consumers change their preference between two options when presented with a third option – the “decoy” – that is “asymmetrically dominated”. The decoy is priced to make one of the other options much more attractive. It is “dominated” in terms of perceived value (quantity, quality, extra features and so on). The decoy is not intended to sell. Its job is to nudge consumers away from the “competitor” and towards the “target”—usually the more expensive or profitable option.
