New research, at Imperial College London, suggests a new solar energy design, inspired by nature, may pave the way for future renewable energy technologies. Photovoltaic (PV) solar energy is obtained by converting sunshine into electricity – and researchers from Imperial have developed a new leaf-like design with increased efficiency.   A series of experiments has demonstrated that a PV-leaf can generate over 10% more electricity compared to conventional solar panels, which lose up to 70% of the incoming solar energy to the environment. This is a good article. It captures the breadth of information one can expect to be exposed to studying renewable energy at Illinois State University. Reflecting on my journey since graduation and entry into the industry, I've often found myself appreciating the education, opportunities, and preparedness provided to me by Dr. Loomis, Dr. Aldeman, and Dr. Jo. Now floating solar power technology is showing the best vision of global renewable energy solution in USA. As we know, the U.S. Interior Department will install solar panels above irrigation canals in California, Oregon and Utah, aided by $19 million from a congressional spending bill. For floating solar facilities to be sustainable in California waterways and rivers, they must have the ability to minimize the pressure due to current. Furthermore, for tracking and positioning system to be possible, they must already have both rotation control and position control capabilities. INIWORLD South Korea has the Core Floating Solar Technologies for Sustainability in areas with these conditions. Sustainability is guaranteed by buoyant structures that responds to fluctuations and Unique Specialized Mooring Systematic Technology. Sustainable Buoyant Structure's the ability to re-adjust the distance between module and buoyant body. However, this architecture only applies when the INIWORLD-RFSMS mooring device and buoyancy body are installed together. High-tech Mooring Systematic Technology is proven by the shaking and orientation control capability whenever water level changes widely even in the dams. Unique specialized mooring systematic technology could be a reasonable basement of lower cost solution in the current floating solar projects. INIWORLD MDPI REPORT: Comparing the Performance of Pivotless Tracking and Fixed-Type Floating Solar Power Systems. Abstract Floating solar power has a higher power generation efficiency than existing solar power generation methods. It is easier to secure in an installation area as well as to connect to other renewable energy sources. Floating solar power is considered an essential component for achieving carbon neutrality because it compensates for the shortcomings of existing solar power systems and maximizes their advantages. In this study, a performance comparison was conducted between pivotless tracking-type and fixed-type solar power systems. These systems were installed at the Irwol Reservoir in Suwon, South Korea, and monitored for comparison between May 2019 and June 2020. The tracking-type system generated approximately 14% more energy than the fixed-type system; the performance was maximized in May, which showed 25.63% more output power, and the performance was minimized in winter, with 3% more generated power.
