Detoxing from the opinions of others. As creatives we are sharing our art and that is a vulnerable act. And in that exposure we want to make sure we are grounded in our own opinions of our work and our process and not swayed by the opinions of others. If we allow what others say about our art and use that as either a motivator or a deterrent from creating then we are leaving ourselves fragile in our creative explorations. We as the artist should always value our own opinion and allow that to guide our creative journeys. Everything outside of that is secondary. https://lnkd.in/eg8ZW9wU #artists #podcast #creatives

Confronting racism, especially within our inner circles, can feel incredibly uncomfortable and overwhelming. We're torn between preserving cherished relationships and confronting injustice. The fear of causing conflict or damaging connections weighs heavily on us. However, staying silent isn't an option. When we don't speak out against racism, we indirectly support it, allowing discrimination and inequality to persist. Additionally, by avoiding these tough conversations, we miss out on opportunities for education, understanding, and personal growth. Listen to our riveting episode now! https://lnkd.in/gCcwgQm5

Interesting - We usually talk about the White Power Structure and Systemic Racism to be 'white', however, let's spread the net a bit - because the D.S.A (Divided States of America) is NOT the only country that views Black people in a lower caste system, which has also become inter-sectioned with race; Check out the clip below - Any Questions?
