🌟 Attention Jersey-based third sector organisations! 🌟 Your organisation could win a grant of up to £5k by completing a 30-minute survey on the value of Jersey’s third sector. We’re proud to be working with the Jersey Community Foundation, in collaboration with Jersey Community Partnership, Jersey Overseas Aid, Jersey Hospice Care, and Bethany Gallichan (Charity Development Consultant), to shed light on the sector’s role in underpinning our island’s society and community. If your organisation meets each of the following criteria: - Operates in Jersey - Is a charity, social enterprise, non-profit (including social housing providers, sports clubs), or informal voluntary group - Wants to contribute to a study benefiting Jersey’s entire third sector Your input will shape data-driven strategies for sustainable funding and informed decision-making across our island community. Click the link to start the survey: https://lnkd.in/eTBCAKSd Together, let's empower our sector with meaningful data and strategic insights. 🌍💡 Alison Cambray | James Linder | Daniel Chan MBE

Despite many in the country feeling less optimistic about society and their own personal economic situation ahead of the Autumn budget, our latest research covered by Fundraising UK Ltd shows that it's by no means all doom and gloom for charities. Nearly two-thirds want to see greater government funding for the third sector – with some clear preferences for particular sectors – and many people now donate more than they did a few years ago. This could present an opportunity for charities to grow support and make a powerful case for a stronger role at the heart of policy making and service delivery. To achieve this, they need to truly understand who their target audiences are and how to inspire and motivate them to engage. https://lnkd.in/e93P4-Ng

| Shaw and Partners donates $611,000 to charity during Institutional Foundation Day | Clients have again helped us set an all-time record on the day of $511,000. Co-CEOs, Earl Evans and Allan Zion, have generously contributed an additional $100,000, bringing the total donation to an awesome $611,000. The Shaw and Partners Institutional Foundation Day is undoubtedly our most impactful initiative to date, where all brokerage fees generated from institutional trades on a designated day are donated to charity. This year, as we mentioned the funds raised will be evenly distributed between the Sydney Children's Hospitals Foundation (SCHF) and the Australian Fund Manager Foundation. Thanks to everyone who participated on the day but a special mention to the top 10 institutions: Wilson Asset Management Milford Pendal Regal Funds Management Colonial First State L1 Capital Firetrail Investments Antares Tyndall Asset Management 1851 Capital Without their fundamental support, the Shaw and Partners Institutional Foundation Day would not have been a success. Shaw and Partners remains committed to its engaged approach to philanthropy, focusing on providing support to Australian charities across areas of mental health, education, and social inclusion that have little access to government funding. Hub pages will enable your branches to set up online fundraisers quickly and easily and ensure that all of your activity is connected in one central hub! #idonate_ie #makinggivingeasier
iDonate launched a new offering back in 2023 for charities with multiple branches. A Hub Fundraising Page acts as the main hub for a charity’s nationwide online fundraising activity, bringing together all branch fundraising pages in one central location. iDonate have supported Irish charities such as Multiple Sclerosis Ireland and Jigsaw - The National Centre for Youth Mental Health to set up a Hub Fundraising Page, providing them with a cohesive, streamlined platform for their many branches across the country. The page can be branded to the cause colours and an interactive map can be added to the page, to highlight the locations of each branch. See more benefits of Hub Fundraising Pages on our website, http://l.idonate.ie/8pO Or contact Brian O'Neill - brian@idonate.ie to learn more. #idonate #idonate_ie #fundraising

Did you know that this Friday is Fundraiser Appreciation Day? Fundraiser Appreciation Day is a chance to stop and say thank you to you, our incredible fundraisers, for all of the important work you do. Ryan Ginard, CFRE writes about #FundraiserAppreciationDayAU and the critical role of fundraisers in society in this recent article. Read it here 👉 https://lnkd.in/gtBsKm93
International award-winning social & political change author | Advocacy @ Minderoo Foundation | Founder of Fundraise for Australia
Thanks to F&P (Fundraising & Philanthropy) for running this important piece in the lead up to #FundraiserAppreciationDayAU. Was a real honour to write it in tandem with Sally Shepherd from Fundraising Institute Australia & Tessa Irwin CFRE EMFIA from APN. “Celebrating fundraisers helps to attract new talent to the field. As the need for charitable support grows, so does the demand for skilled fundraisers. Highlighting their successes and contributions can inspire others to join the profession and see it as a career path. This is particularly important given the current economic climate, where the cost-of-living crisis has exacerbated the need for charitable services. “We need more passionate individuals who are willing to take on the challenge of fundraising. By celebrating those who are already making a difference, we can inspire the next generation. As we navigate the challenges and opportunities of the current economic landscape, the role of fundraisers will only become more critical.” Remember to take the time this Friday (July 5th) to thank those building the essential resources to help our for purpose sector thrive. https://lnkd.in/gaxKk4bB

Last year, HAB Law supported over 20 different support organisations and charities thanks to the help of our community giving back pledge. This pledge, also known as our 1-1-1 method, ensures that we give back to the organisations who work with us, helping them to continue to provide the amazing services they offer year-round. The 1-1-1 method makes sure that… 💚 1% of the company’s profits are shared with client support organisations. 💚 1% of all work is pro bono for our clients. 💚 1% of all employee time is to be paid volunteer time for client support organisations. This approach helps us to best support our clients and also make a positive difference to the support organisations and the wider community. It’s the HAB way. DID YOU KNOW?... Five reasons why local government is important to charities 1️⃣ Unlike central government, which is focused on national issues, local government is focused on delivering change at the level of local communities – where the majority of charities operate. 2️⃣ Local government is responsible for a range of frontline services that link to the work of charities, such as social care, education and housing. 3️⃣ Charities often deliver these services in partnership with or on behalf of local government. 4️⃣ Policymakers in local government can find innovative solutions to problems using the insight and experience of charities. 5️⃣ Strong local leadership can inspire residents to support and volunteer for charities.
