Communities in Bokakhat, Assam depend on agriculture for their sustenance and livelihoods. In light of the devastating floods in the region, which have displaced thousands and impacted their livestock, the PwC India Foundation has been working on a disaster relief and resilience framework to help the communities rebuild themselves. Joining hands with our NGO partner, we’re delivering aid urgently and focusing on distributing hygiene kits and cattle feed as part of our recovery efforts. Despite the infrastructure damage and difficulties in reaching the area, we were able to successfully reach out to over 1,000 families with the help of our partners and especially our Pashu Sakhis, the true local champions, who are helping us deliver aid and are supporting the community members with essential information to keep their livestock healthy. #TogetherWeFuture #BetterTogether #PwCIF Jaivir Singh
