In the early days of my career at Boston Consulting Group (BCG), when people asked what we do, I used to joke that we make rich people richer. But in the last year, it has been more than creating strategy or marketing cool things; it has been about working on a technology that has the potential to change the world: GenAI. Generative AI isn't just a buzzy new topic. It's revolutionizing the workforce !! With the rapid adoption of the technology, people can keep up with the demands of the changing landscape by learning how to "upskill" or "reskill." Some skillsets to help us stay relevant in the changing landscape include : Analytical thinking Creative thinking Leadership and social influence Curiosity and lifelong learning These "human-centric" skills will become more important than ever if people want to stay competitive in this new jobs landscape. In the end, it will be these "human" skills that can't be easily replaced by Generative AI. It was enriching being part of a breakfast round table discussion on “Leading in the age of AI: A guide to Futurise, Humanize, Personalize” organised by ETHRWorld and KNOLSKAPE. It was an engaging discussion with HR leaders from diverse industries sharing their insights and best practices. Thank you Manu Nanda and Dr. Ritwik Mishra for moderating the discussion so well.
